Nigerian Author Abimbola Dare Wins the 2018 Bath Novel Award

On September 13, 2018, Nigerian author, Abimbola Dare was announced as the winner of the 2018 Bath Novel Award. The award is an international prize for emerging novelists who have either been unpublished, or independently published.

Abimbola Dare, who is also a BellaNaija contributor {Click here to read some of her stories on BN} has published four books and is currently completing her Masters degree in Creative Writing.

As the winner of the award, Abimbola Dare will receive £2,500 for her story titled, “The Girl with the Louding Voice”

The Girl with the Louding Voice beat 1200 other stories to clinch the prize!

The Bath Novel Award 2018

The writer of the most promising longlisted novel will receive “a place on Learn to Edit Your Novel the Professional Way – an 18-week online course from Cornerstones Literary Consultancy”Shortlisted authors will receive literary agency introductions and manuscript feedback.

    She’s a great authour! “When broken chords sings” is still one of my fav books from her although a little too religious for my liking, it was a very eye opening and interesting novel. Congratulations!!!

    I just read this extract and was off to buy the book. Nowhere to be found. I really hope we see the publication soon.. A best seller and a movie in the making..
