NASS Staff Protest Non Payment of Salaries, shut Legislative Chambers
Staff of the National Assembly are currently protesting against non-payment of salaries and lack of due promotion, Channels is reporting.
The staff, in protest, blocked entrance into the legislative chambers, saying funds for training had been diverted and that some staff are being owed salaries from 2010.
The protesting staff, under the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PSAN) prevented the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu from going into the Senate chamber and preventing him from addressing them.
