Gowon slumps, recovers at General Ejoor’s Funeral in Delta

Former military head of state, General Yakubu Gowon slumped during the burial of General David Akpodiete Ejoor, former Military Administrator of Mid-west region and Chief of Staff, Nigerian Army.
TheCable reports that the incident occurred at the grave side in Ovwor-Olomu Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Gowon was said to have slumped while the funeral oration went on and was promptly taken into a special tent where an ambulance was stationed.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and former governor of the state, James Ibori also rushed to the tent following the incident.
According to Guardian Nigeria, after first aid treatment was administered to the former head of state, he recovered and was allowed to rest awhile.
