Chicago Police has released footage from the night where Jussie Smollett claimed he was attacked by two white men who hurled racist and homophobic slurs at him.

Jussie had said the men had poured bleach on him and tied a rope around his neck.

Police, after investigation, said Jussie staged the attack. He was then sued for filing a false report.

The charges were later dropped after Jussie Jussie forfeited a $10,000 bond payment and carried out community service.

Jussie had always maintained innocence.

The footage shows officers go into Jussie’s apartment after which one officer asked: “Do you want to take it off or anything?”

Smollett responded: “Yeah I do, I just wanted you to see it.”

He takes it off and adds: “There’s bleach on me. They poured bleach on me.”

Shortly after, they ask the police to switch off their cameras.

Chicago PD also released the video from inside the taxi Abel and Ola Osundairo took (the people Jussie allegedly paid to stage the attack, according to police), on their way to meet Jussie on the night of the reported attack.
