Premier Feed Mills hosts its Distributors to a Sales Conference & National Convention in Ibadan
To much fanfare and excitement, the Premier Feed Mills Co Ltd held its sales conference and national distributors convention in Ibadan on July 11th & 12th, 2019. It was a multi-faceted cascade of sequential events that made sure to embody the essence of the company along with all its essential brands.
Topfeeds brands, a giant of the industry on its own right, is a subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN). It has production facilities in Ibadan, Calabar, and Kaduna with depots in; Onitsha and Jos. It operates a Vendor Managed Inventory center (VMI Center) located in Warri, Port Harcourt, Kano, Akure, and Ilorin respectively.
The Topfeeds brands are premium animal feeds companies that support farmers to be more profitable in their farm business. It manages to accomplish this with the added advantage of being able to produce all the required nutrition essential to animal husbandry. With a combined milling capacity of over 780,000 Metric Tons per annum spread in 3 plants location; West, East and North, the Company is able to meet all necessary demands.
The great success of the Event
The event themed The “New Topfeeds Is Taking Shape” with value proposition “Advance-able, Affordable, Available and Profitable” was organized to celebrate, reward, and recognize Topfeeds trade partners for their patronage during the previous financial year that ended on March 31st, 2019.
The programme kicked off in grand style with the National Sales Conference on Thursday, July 11th, 2019, bringing sales team members from across the country to converge in Ibadan where the business performance of the previous year was reviewed. The company growth plan for the new financial year was shared, where to play and how to win was certainly the focal point of discussion.
The business luncheon provided an avenue for the company’s leadership team to expose to its trade partners, plans and strategies for Topfeeds brands going forward and how the trade partners can fit in. The managing Director, Stoney Su further reiterated the company’s commitment to making high-quality feed available all year round at a competitive price. He emphasized the company’s goal to be the “best in class for cost per gain” & went further to inform all trade partners of Topfeeds’ growth plan for the next 4 years.
Understanding demographic pre-dispositions and response patterns were emphasized at the convention in order for our dealers to understand their market. The company’s core values are the keys to its performance “FMN PIILOT” (Performance, Integrity, Initiative, Leadership, Ownership, Teamwork).
Stoney went further to inform dealers about the complexities of the industry and the salient need to focus on how best to manage the challenges on ground in order to benefit from the farm and the farmers whom we all work towards improving.
Recognizing the outstanding players
Later in the day, the outstanding and high performing trade partners were recognized and awarded for their performance in the last financial year April 2018-March 2019. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd best-performing distributors in the regions; West, East, and North were awarded mouth-watering prizes ranging from large Television sets, refrigerators and power generating sets of various Kilowatt capacities. Special recognition was also given to trade partners who deal exclusively on the Topfeeds’ brands and their different offerings.
The amazing star prize for the night was a 5-ton delivery truck which went to Moore Agricultural Services based in Ibadan, Oyo state for being the overall best performing distributor on a National Scale. Trade partners were happy and excited with various complementary gifts disseminated during the events to all the guests present.
Dealers were treated and hosted comfortably in order to facilitate participation in all activities and provide a stress- free and restful experience of the entire convention.
In his closing remarks, the GM Sales and Marketing, Austin Dalyop appreciated all the dealers and assured them of more gift items come 2020 as the company engage them with their “Go To Market “strategy plan. This will support their growth in the market as they sell Topfeeds brands. The Topfeeds Technical support team will also focus on animal performance to support its value proposition of “Best in Class for Cost Per Gain’ for their farmers.
All in all, it was a resounding success that left everyone present, wanting more.
