Signal NG Also Embarks on Protest Against Buhari, Labels Him “Dictator Buhari”

Looks like Signal NG has taken a cue from Punch newspaper by addressing President Buhari as “Dictator Buhari” henceforth. This is in protest of the perceived large scale human rights abuse, attack on freedom of expression in Nigeria and disregard for rule of law under the Buhari-led administration.

Taking to their Twitter, the media organization released a notice to the general public, stating that President Muhammadu Buhari will now be addressed as Dictator until court orders are obeyed. The statement reads:

NOTICE | As a show of protest for the consistent disregard for the rule of law and clampdown on freedom of expression in #Nigeria, we shall henceforth address President Muhammadu @MBuhari with the prefix: ‘Dictator’ in all our publications.

The ‘Dictator’ prefix on Muhammadu @MBuhari will be relaxed by this media house only after court orders are obeyed and detained prisoners of conscience like @YeleSowore are freed from detention and the framed up charges of treason against them dropped.”
