Scheduled for global cinema release on 11 December 2026, the film follows Esosa and three fiercely loyal women who risk everything to protect a young man’s future across the Odu community and the bustling city. To reveal an extraordinary cast featuring Funke Akindele herself alongside Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Waje, Richard Mofe–Damijo (RMD), Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, and Wunmi Toriola, the production team turned to high-fashion Nigerian textiles.

Adire—the traditional hand-dyed resist fabric of the Yoruba people—takes center stage here, fully elevated into true wearable art. Wearable art turns fashion into an architectural canvas, where garments serve as living sculptures rather than standard clothing. Having structure in an outfit means building deliberate shape, sharp angles, and volume into the cloth so it holds its own form independently. Designed by Aso Nigeria for the women and Ola Reay for the men, under the direction of ZackStyling Luxury, these looks redefine how to wear colourful adire by leaning heavily into structural tailoring.

The women showcase avant-garde tailoring through exaggerated puffed butterfly sleeves, sharp off-the-shoulder upturned collars, corseted bodices, and gathered ruching. Funke Akindele poses in a custom puff-sleeve creation paired with a high braided hairstyle, while Bisola Aiyeola steps out in a Fleur poof skirt that showcases how volume transforms dyed cotton into structured art.

The visual narrative extends to sculptural hair threading shaped into looped top-knots, towering crests, and circular halo headpieces made from wrapped threaded spheres. Completed with cowrie-embellished caps, a brown cowboy hat, heavy gold link necklaces, stacked rings, and statement earrings, this visual reveal merges cultural heritage with editorial drama ahead of its December cinema release.
