Sue and Elizabeth qualified as nurses at Paddington General Hospital on the same day fifty years ago.

Since then, the two have remained best friends, and will be celebrating their 71st birthday – they were born a day apart – soon.

Elizabeth, of Irish/Nigerian origin, shared “then and now” photos of themselves, writing:

Sue and I qualified together as #nurses 50 years ago at Paddington General Hospital and we’re still best friends ?. I’m just one day older than her and we’ll soon be celebrating our 71st birthdays! #NHS70
