Chandler Moore Live: A Worship Experience Beyond the Stage at House on the Rock
Written by The Rock Cathedral
Chandler Moore Live was said to be more than just a concert and it was! On March 23rd, thousands gathered at The Rock Cathedral, Lekki, for a night of worship that transcended melodies and moments.
But while the music stirred the soul, the real depth of the evening unfolded afterwards, in the quiet conversations, the warm embraces, and the fellowship that lingered beyond the stage.
As the lights dimmed and the final worship notes echoed into the night, family, friends, and dignitaries gathered for an intimate post-concert fellowship. There was laughter, tears, and above all, gratitude for what God had done in the room and what He continues to do through worship.
Among the guests were leaders from across sectors—faith, government, entertainment, and more—all united by the unshakable truth that worship breaks barriers and builds bridges.
Notable attendees included Musa Gowon, Laolu Adefarasin, Yeye Olori Sijuwade, Yinka Ogundipe, Dr Awele Elumelu, Angela Aneke, Vivienne Gowon, Catherine Bickersteth, and many more who brought warmth, wisdom, and presence to the evening.
From heartfelt conversations about the power of gospel music to shared reflections on how worship ignites social and spiritual change, the night showed forth this truth: when worship is genuine, it spills into every area of life.
The fellowship was not simply an afterparty—it was an extension of the altar. A continuation of what began in sound and song, now expressed in connection and community.
Pastor Paul Adefarasin, host and Metropolitan Senior Pastor of House on the Rock shared how worship doesn’t end when the instruments stop.
True worship flows into how we treat one another, how we serve our city, how we shine the light of God in public and private spaces, he said.
Indeed, this post-concert moment reinforced that gospel music is not just about performance; it’s about presence. It reminds us who we are and who we belong to.
As conversations filled the air and the joy of the night lingered, one thing became clear: the real power of a worship experience lies not just in the songs we sing, but in the lives we lead after the music fades.
In a brief yet poignant exhortation, Pastor Paul Adefarasin underscored the need for spiritual discernment in times like these, drawing from the story of Abraham’s test on Mount Moriah.
Abraham obeyed the voice of God which spoke to him to take Isaac up the mountain to sacrifice him, Adefarasin said.
But had Abraham not discerned what God was saying in the moment, he would have slain a promise that was never meant to die then. The instruction had shifted. What God had instructed is not what He was saying. in the new moment. Religion obeys what God said, but relationship with God responds to what He is saying now.(Rev 3:13 NLT)
This powerful reminder called listeners into a deeper, more dynamic walk of faith—one that hears, discerns, and obeys God’s Voice in real-time.
