Our next Naija Diva is Fragrance (Real Name: Shema Oritsematosan Bridget Kayoh). She’s not only stunning but Fragrance has a remarkable story to tell. A child of mixed heritage, her father was Itsekiri while her mum was Scottish and Effurun-Urhobo, sadly she is an orphan as both her parents have passed away. Having moved to Lagos from the Niger Delta as a teen, Fragrance has been on the grind trying to get her musical career to take off. She released her debut album ‘So Lovely’ about 2 years ago and is gearing up for the release of her new album tentatively titled ‘Honey Sweet’ soon. She is reportedly filming the video for her new single ‘We Be One’ Feat LKT with music video maestro DJ Tee in the coming weeks.

yea, @ ronami erm.. is right, i couldn’t even get through the first minute of the first song, i knew there was a reason we hadn’t heard about her after being out for 2yrs
she is a pretty girl, nice voice and even nice song but the video is soooo annoying! like i just couldn’t get past d hand movements. With better work, she’ll definitely be a force 2 reckon with.

yeah, her hands do awkward things. i hate that she’s playing up the sexuality too much. Can’t we just get real Naija Divas who don’t need sex appeal to make good music?! It has become pretty RIDICULOUS that everyone is subscribing to SEXY personas to be on TV. Mehn, you don’t have to be singing gospel to just be a decent girl, a role model for young girls to look up to. Why can’t these upcoming artists be more like Asa or remember Benita…like sheesh. It’s boring and limits your potential when you’re only selling yourself as a SEX SYMBOL.

That shake, shake song is totally wrong and a damn disaster. What was she thinking. No wonder no one has heard of her. The outfit looked cheap like something she picked from bend-down- select at Tejuosho market. Lover and friend was aight. But i agree she played up the sexuality thing a bit too much. It looked awkward. She just needs a good director. Not them chere were directors.
