2009 Future Awards winners including music producer Cobhams and actress Funke Akindele visited the Hearts of Gold Children’s Hospice over the weekend. During the visit which was organized by Redstrat, the artistes were able to make financial and material contributions but that was not the highlight. Their visit lifted the spirits of the children and staff of the hospice with the presence. The hospice is renowned as one of the few organizations which admits abandoned children with mental and physical disabilities. Its so sad that due to illitracy, the failed healthcare system and certain cultures in Nigeria, children with certain disabilitiesand shunned and abandoned. This is a great initiative and hopefully it encourages many of us to carry out similar activities.

Yay, me! I’m First! Gald to see Cobhams and Funke ‘Jenifa’ Akindele doing some inspiring stuff. I also love what you are doing here B, keep it up.

Bella, how does one get on BN PROSE? I write short stories and poetry, and I would like to be a part of this.

Have you ever considered a BN POETRY corner?

All the best!
