EMLN 2010 models rock Bridget Awosika, LDA & Christie Brown frocks for an exclusive shoot by Photographer Toni Tones

In true top model style, the models from the 2010 edition of Elite Model Look Nigeria have already featured in their first fashion photoshoot.
The spread was shot by fashion photographer – Toni Tones and features pieces from Nigerian designers Bridget Awosika and Lanre DaSilva-Ajayi as well as Ghanaian design label Christie Brown.
This shoot is special because we get to see these budding models in action and also get to view exclusive pieces from the designer’s collections. The pieces from Bridget Awosika provide an exclusive peek into her forthcoming collection – her first since her move back to Nigeria, from LDA – we see new pieces including jackets and a special independence tribute dress and from Christie Brown, we get to view pieces from the collection which she debuted at the Africa Fashion Week which took place in Johannesburg earlier in the year.
EMLN 2010 Chika Emmanuel looked fierce and ready to take on the world in her LDA jacket paired with opaque leggings. Chika is prepping for her trip to Shanghai where she will participate in the EML International competition.

just like kate moss, not too tall, but can elongate emselves, her neck, hands and legs r just working wonders…u cant help but think she’s actually taller dan a 5.7. she must have bin a fan of ANTM…cos u learn alot 4rm ow to play wiv ur body angles, to striking a pose, to giving diff fierce looks. Hello and thanks for the post bella. It would have been very helpful to add the names these girls,their ages and which agencies they work with or whether they are automatically under Beth models and their stats. I am interested in working with some of them and like girl 4 and uber-strong looking boxing girl six i see her in my designs already!I even have a complimentary piece for her already. Thanks
CHIKA is FIERCE!!! The other models are so mediocre. I think the photographer could have pushed for more pizazz. It is a photographers job to direct the models to produce the best work. Designs look good.

The photographer definitely doesn’t have the skills in directing the models and get the right poses out of them. They all look clueless, fake and made the designs tacky.
The pose that is natural and striking is model with the white sleeveless jacket especially with the picture on the right hand side.

Truth be told….only the winner and the chic in the 7th pic (white coat) rocked the shoot. I just kept whispering to myself, “why do these ‘models’ look ridiculously off?” The shoot was not properly managed I think. These chics are BUDDING models, not experts. So they should have been better directed.
Working with inexperienced models is a Task and clearly the star of the Show is #1 and everyones Favorite and she emerged the winner.
My dear the outfits do look cheap… I love the concept but they look cheap.. There is no hating in my blood, I call it as “I” see it, I am entitled to an opinion am I not???
And after cleaning my glasses and reviewing the pictures again I came up with the same conclusion, The outfits look cheap!! Sorry!
