that was exactly what i said wen i watched d wedding on bisi olatilo show then here. this is a pprivate or function for God’s sake but patirnce jonathan went with ministers and governor’s wives. dont forget that they will each have allowances for the trip and this will be sourced from government funds. its a pity. no wonder nigeria is still where she is

        • lustre November 18, 2010 at 10:14 AM

      • Nene November 16, 2010 at 2:59 AM

Some people don’t just bother to read the introductory piece before asking questions, oya, I’ve made it simple for u now – “BN Weddings will be bringing you a comprehensive wedding feature on this beautiful wedding including the Nikkai, reception and other events. This feature will be published later this month”.

        • abz November 16, 2010 at 4:53 PM

    • Hautness4sure November 15, 2010 at 9:12 PM

Naija women keep it fresh!! I see people went all out. The women looked fabulous. The lady in the second row, first pic, of the ‘Say Yes with a skirt and top’ has a fantastic figure. Nigerian women are gorgeous.

      • Jack November 17, 2010 at 11:54 PM

I swear. She has a majestic figure! And grreat *tataaas!

My mama always said if you are rich; you dont have to be proud, it naturally shows……

    • Summer November 15, 2010 at 9:51 PM

Who is this couple…I see the Minister of Information Dora Akunyili in the picture. Bella, you should tell us sometimes who the Bride and Groom are and what they do for a living.

      • wienna November 15, 2010 at 10:38 PM

The mother of the groom is a society lady(me thinks). She’s one of the women in ‘creme de la’ in Lagos.

      • mariaah November 16, 2010 at 11:29 PM

The groom runs an oil business with Babangida Son..

    • myne Whitman November 15, 2010 at 10:19 PM

      Lovely designs…

    • kilonsparkles November 15, 2010 at 10:58 PM

      Mrs. Anumudu looks AMAZING!
The middle babe in the last row of the “fusion” sections looks AMAZING!
That wedding dress is the best I’ve seen this year.

      • gbekun November 16, 2010 at 4:33 AM

yes o nkiru looks good today. thank God. but wait oh, kilonsparkles, i thought u were a guy? just wondering ur obsession with womens’ fashion… it’s all good sha.

      • dd November 19, 2010 at 11:26 AM

thank God,she now knows how to dress better than before

    • Ewa November 15, 2010 at 11:13 PM

Hajiya Shagaya is immensely rich and connected, it’s no wonder the majority of her guests are on point! … except for the woman in the black and gold bird cage dress (international, first row, first dress from the right)

    • Chibaby November 15, 2010 at 11:42 PM

These are nice. Abeg, I hear say Mike Ezeronye don do his white wedding. Where da pictures at?

    • busola November 16, 2010 at 1:49 AM

Ahn ahn…..I love the nigerian culture…Very sick designs..all I can say is we have got some bad ass designers in naija…I want some of these designs, only that i don’t know any tailor/seamstress here in u.k :(

    • busola November 16, 2010 at 1:51 AM

This is just an indication that if you dont have money, you cannot enjoy naija well…#kai

    • nastynas November 16, 2010 at 2:09 AM

Nigerian women wear only 2 silhouettes. These images prove it even further! So limiting!
And glam to us is just shine-shine and fishtails. Just sad….
For what it is sha, people look nice.

    • yeoal November 16, 2010 at 3:28 AM

9ja fashionistas always get it right.90% of the guest look fab

    • Glossy November 16, 2010 at 8:07 AM

    • lizzy November 16, 2010 at 12:00 PM

Bola Shagaya is an oil Baroness. Anything short of this would have been an insult…..lol.
Una don talk am finish, Money spoke in various Naija dialects on that day. Tyte.

    • fm November 16, 2010 at 3:43 PM

ita giwa looks nice…..body magic perhaps??? #okbye

    • sam November 16, 2010 at 6:10 PM

ok this wedding is sick…….good lawd jesus have frioggin mercy. Here is why this wedding beats bella adenuga s wedding and no I am not hating just comparing notes since that what they want us to do by publicizing this Abi I lie ….lol
      1. Here you see soo many well dressed I mean perfectly dressed guests. Madam shagaya must have warned them to follow her dress code. Whereas at bellas there were too many spaghetti staps tube top and multicolored suit wearing fol
ks in attendance. Yeah they spent money o no be say moinmoin eg bellas dress , trad, , decor, cake, jewelry etc were right on point. Matter of fact the older women at bellas wedding repped better than the younger guests. Now this shagaya wedding, either the photo man just jabo’d those who didn’t dress well or as it sEems everyone just looked magnificiently classy. Dang….more analysis when the wedding photos land$$$$$$. Bellanaija na u biko. In fact I love this site

    • iREAD November 16, 2010 at 7:15 PM

What am I missing? I can see a few fab styles but the rest just look garish\gaudy to me. E be laik say I need money o, make I fit understand the fuss.

    • M November 16, 2010 at 9:30 PM

Blah! All i see is shiny clothes and gaudy jewellery, nothing spectacular.Btw,the northern women look a lot classier than the southerners.Just my observation.

      • wienna November 17, 2010 at 2:12 AM

And how are you sure who the southerners are and who the northerners are?

        Tribalism at its best.

      • @premiumblended November 18, 2010 at 6:39 AM

Only you can see southerners and northerners in this one ooo. Please give me the name of your shakommended so me too I can buy.

      • Lo B November 18, 2010 at 4:40 PM

Am with you on this one…

    • Proudly_Naija November 16, 2010 at 10:32 PM

Maybe I just don’t know what is in season, most of these women look over the top like they are at some ‘whose outfit glitters the most’ competition. The simpler designs look so much better. Abeg bellanaijans please don’t burn me at stake, this is my view.

    • Strawberry moon November 16, 2010 at 10:49 PM

all i see is hideous looking Brazilian hair. The older women are DEFINITELY outdoing the younger ones. Gosh they look so pretty, especially the lady in the third section of pictures ( to the left of the lady with the bright blue sari)

    • JulietA November 16, 2010 at 10:54 PM

Jennifer looked fabulous. Stop hating on the girl. We were all staring at her at the event.

    • Philip November 16, 2010 at 11:19 PM

      Best dressed was Tundun.

      • Jenifa November 17, 2010 at 1:55 AM

Hahahahha..how can she be best dressed? is it her wedding or is she bridesmaid that she wore that dress?

      • lustre November 18, 2010 at 10:55 AM

nope, philip i disagree. she looked more like a flower girl in dat outfit

      • laurynbabe November 26, 2010 at 3:53 PM

& I suppose Tundun Abiola is the lady in the second piccy of the coupled section.
If she’s, abeg, biko…..she ain’t d best dressed. These pics are depressing but I refuse to be depressed.

    • chiangel November 16, 2010 at 11:43 PM

Oh and BN please if it’s not too much to ask, is it possible to caption there names? Some of us don’t know who these people are just a few faces are known. Gracias :-)

    • caramel November 17, 2010 at 4:38 AM

I don’t know whether to love or hate Jennifer’s multi strap dress. ..hmmnn strange. I don’t see the class you people are talking about. These are just regular same ol’ styles that the guests are wearing- sari, iro & buba…..abeg show me o.

    • ozyy November 17, 2010 at 9:55 AM

u r ryt wienna….d shagaya woman is one of the richest women in NIGERIA

    • Tolugeorge November 17, 2010 at 6:24 PM

To me Bellas wedding was gbam!Money speaks but if u can combine correct french lace wt tafeta and u get a good tailor u r good to go abeg.Tho it wasnt bad tho but bellas own abeg was really really nice.I dey look for oil bobo too.Me no mind.lol

    • Feyi November 17, 2010 at 8:01 PM

whether you like the Jennifer girl or not, she has $ and she spends it.

      • gbeborun December 4, 2010 at 1:16 AM

Yes oh!!! That dress is from Deola Sagoe’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection. It’s not for the masses at all.

    • Sandra November 18, 2010 at 8:32 AM

      God Bless the union

    • Show some love November 18, 2010 at 8:52 AM

MY DEAR THIS IS EHN… CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Bola Shagaya, the most connected woman in Nigeria bar none.
Even the ist couple need her more than she needs them.

    • Hotchocolate November 19, 2010 at 12:01 PM

please i dont think Grace Egbagbe”s dress is age appropriate for her and with her figure. These old folks shld retire and stop harassing us with their over the top dressing and exposure.

    • MO November 19, 2010 at 12:57 PM

      nice people,nice wedding,nice pix,nice everything,money speaking owolonsoro.
on a serious note, think we need to get our priority right, saw comment where people makes prayer request to ve a wedding superb or more than dis,but is marriage about d glitz and glamour of the wedding or the success of the unioun after the party.let set our request right.Shagaya is big and she prove it.

    • Olivia November 21, 2010 at 1:40 AM

I love the simpler designs better. A lot just look garish and over made up…too much for my poor sensitive eyes!!! Lol Money no fit buy class sha, no marra what. Our Dame use style wowo small, infact she is the least ‘foine’ of a all the first ladies so far. I miss the delectable, elegant and poised Maryam Babangida. I may not care too much for IBB but damn the bobo enjoyed a good woman….correct asaba beauty.

    • caachi November 23, 2010 at 3:05 PM

    • Sheila December 19, 2010 at 6:31 AM

This wedding looks fantastic. I love Donnel Jones and the bride is so pretty. I heard that Bola Shagaya flew in a Rolls Royce for the wedding. Everyone looked lovely. I love Jennifer Obayuwana and Tundun Abiola’s outfits. No cleavage, no stretch, no fishtail. Its different and refreshing. For the older generation, I give it to Vivian Chiologi and Nkiru Anumudu. I’m so loving george right now. Well done BN.

    • Stephanie February 1, 2011 at 6:45 AM
