Just a few days ago, we published exclusive photos from the Afromedia 50th anniversary event. Some noticed someone on stage, is that Omotola? They asked. Yes indeed! Omotola who released her new album ‘Me, Myself & Eyes’ in September has been hitting the stage for exclusive performances since her grand album launch.

At the Afromedia event, music industry heavyweights, D’Banj and 9ice were on the bill alongside D’Prince, Dr SID and of course, Omotola.

Omotola and her 10-man live band hit the stage and kicked off the performance with the song “Gba” from her debut album. She then transitioned to something more melodic, the romantic ballad “Honey Boy” also from her debut album.

The set then moved to tracks from “Me, Myself & Eyes”, Omotola sang “Through The Fire” and “Feel Alright” which got a loud applause from the guests at the event.

Omotola who was dressed in a long black shimmery dress paired with black strappy sandals relished the applause and left the stage with a smile on her face.

      • Tomi November 16, 2010 at 9:04 AM

thank you jare. These people won’t kill someone.

      • Faith November 16, 2010 at 12:03 PM

Lol. It’s funny that people seem to think I am hating and completely forget the compliment in my comment. It’s not a flattering picture for her skin and even the most beautiful people in Hollywood and in Nigeria have unflattering pictures.

    • gmby November 16, 2010 at 8:56 AM

I love her guts for sticking to her love for singing… i personally dont enjoy her songs but i respect her for not giving a damn about ppl like me…
I love everything about her outfit, only that her lovely earrings don’t work for her… they only emphasised the shape of her face, by hidding behind her jawline… wearing something longer or big hoops would have done the trick.

    • Keith November 16, 2010 at 9:41 AM

No matter how much promotion a bad singer a bad album gets,it can not translate into record sales or credible recognition, don’t waste your time on this promos Bella,it will only go as far as your website and Linda Ikeji’s blog

    • Ifeoma-adiagwuagwu November 16, 2010 at 10:00 AM

      omotola looks amazing. :)

    • tbn November 16, 2010 at 10:38 AM

IIke the dress, but why is her left boob higher and sticking upwards in a weird way? Bad bra choice or a teltale sign of body magic underneath the dress pushing the bra and boob up! :)

      • mary007 November 17, 2010 at 4:28 AM

Na wa for una eyes oh but na true as I go back see say you talk true

    • Truth teller November 16, 2010 at 11:29 AM

I have one thing to say about Omotola, she is a very beautiful woman…i don’t think the same about the singing part though.sista sure is a head spinner

    • NFATA November 16, 2010 at 12:20 PM

i knew it was her all along. i commented on the other picture. omotola looks stupid (ok it’s a harsh word…cant think of any synonyms now) trying to be a musician. it’s just weird but i love her!

    • poks November 16, 2010 at 12:26 PM

Omotola … this is getting ridiculous… i beg of you singing is not your thing!

    • akudo November 16, 2010 at 12:32 PM

omotola is sexy anyday, body magic or not, but i don’t like her songs and don’t thinks she’s got it as a singer, but she’s adamant in pursuing her first love which is music, so me thinks dat the people who want to buy her album can go ahead, me…i’ve got better things to do with my moni joo…..

    • Jojolo November 16, 2010 at 1:53 PM

she looks good. leave the woman alone with her dress, her pores, her earrings.

    • Chibaby November 16, 2010 at 4:11 PM

      I luv her hair.

    • yvonne November 16, 2010 at 4:40 PM

Omotola cannot sing and she should stop wasting money saved from her Hollandia ad campaign pursuing this dead dream. and hanging on to the figure eight which is fast becoming flabby is a no no. Ifeoma williams please hook her up with some well cut tailored outfits, not these Lycra pieces from FOREVER 21 she insists on wearing. Her Hair is nice though and her makeup too. i like the ”Brownness”

      • Ada November 17, 2010 at 9:31 AM

how do you know singing is not her thing? you guys are just haters… that’s the word, Haters otherwise known as bad belle. I’ll suggest u listen to missing you and you’ll have a rethink of OMOSEXY.

        I love her die!!!

    • Jade82 November 16, 2010 at 5:49 PM

She is very pretty pores or no pores…Tis picture captures real beauty not all the Photoshop pictures that people see everyday that deceive us…..
Love her hair, dress, shoes and everything…the music is a heck no…But i give it to her, as she keeps pursuing her dreams….

    • MiaJadore November 16, 2010 at 8:30 PM

That is an Absolutely Gorgeous Woman!!! No magic, no photoshoping, it doesn’t get more real than her. Not even in Hollywood can you get away with a camera that up close on your face without photoshoping. I don’t care for her music, but that is one beautiful woman pores and all.

    • nevergrowup November 16, 2010 at 8:52 PM

    • yemmie November 16, 2010 at 11:51 PM

pls stop bringing out her faults and just applaud her! nobody is person even u the criticizers!!!

    • layDEE November 16, 2010 at 11:54 PM

I love ms. OmoT, her acting, charisma, she’s gorgeous, but I don’t know who’s in her inner circle allowing her to waste money on recording, if this must continue, I suggest she pulls some milli vanilli type ish and lip synch these things (on the DL)

    • chiangel November 16, 2010 at 11:54 PM

Omosexy! Omoge! I love her look. I’m still trying to get used to the singing.

    • caramel November 17, 2010 at 2:58 AM

I am not trying to deprive anyone of their freedom of speech, but when we see something that is good, we should appreciate it. If you don’t appreciate people, u may not be appreciated. This Omotola we are talking about, like it or not, is a world wide star and no matter what u guys say about her, she’ll always be who she is. I believe it’s time you stop talking about other people’s bad side, afterall we all have bad sides.. that’s why we’re human…

      Leave Omot alone.

She’s good in everything she does.

Haters!!!!! She looks stunning jor. Yeah she needs to forget the music though.

    • Daizzo November 17, 2010 at 11:42 AM

Damn, why is it that girls just like to hate, h8,judge, h8 judge,h8..!!! Arrgh. You see a picture first thing you comment on is how bad she is 4 getting how fabulous this woman looks like, one mumu hater said she’s wearing forever 21 lycra dress? How do u know if u ain’t a lycra champion!! Gees..forever 21 lycra with louboutin shoes, how is that possible, as in ? ODE!…Moving on, Omotola is a hot tamale, Mother of 4!! Now about her singing skills, I wish there was a clip of this event for some of u to critic on, b4 judging the lady..She’ can’t sing 2 save her life you say, but she enjoys it and wants to do it, let her be…Maddonna can’t sing to save her life either and she was told the same, now who is smiling all the way to the bank and is a world famous star, rihanna, Miley cyrus, should I go on? Is terry G a good singer? What of D’banj? Ya’ll need to snap out of this hate, cos it ain’t taking u guys no where..The more hate, the more fuel Omo sexy/T/Tola is going to get to carry on chasing her dream….

    • aY November 17, 2010 at 11:43 AM

Here is my opinion, knowing fully well that she’s a celebrity, we don’t expect everyone to ‘like’ or ‘follow’ here but one thing remains static, she’s a legend, a celebrity, a mother, an actress, a singer, a wife and above a role model to so many of us. I totally agree that we all are entitled to say what’s on our mind but i think we should do it with some sense of modesty. no offence.

      Peace Out!

    • Chi Chi November 17, 2010 at 12:25 PM

Well, well, well, after all said and done, I have come to realize that beefing is everywhere in the world and haters makes the world go round and they make you check urselves. Even here in US, that most of us thought all this going on well, haters dey. Their are people that hates R.Kelly though a admit he’s legend.

So, for Omot, i would say, let them talk while you do your thing, do what you know how to do best and you will see that these ‘haters’ would come to their senses…

      no offence o…

I love and i miss naija.

    • Anwuli November 17, 2010 at 1:20 PM

You know something abt the sandpaper? It scratches you but helps you get smoother but the sandpaper gets useless after the scratching that’s what happens to beefers and haters, if you cant pursue ur dream leave those who want to

    • Dada November 17, 2010 at 1:25 PM

WHo no like better thing, U haters live the diva alone. She is a goddess, tall, beautiful, “modelly”, good actress, good singer, she too much

    • T.J November 17, 2010 at 1:31 PM

You enemies of fine girl, … U ll always see sth wrong in other pple

    • Dee November 17, 2010 at 3:00 PM

I know she’s not much of a singer but she’s deffinately stepped up her game with those loubou’s.

    • yvonne November 17, 2010 at 6:58 PM

critisism is meant to make one go back to the drawing board. with time, Omo-T is gonna get better :: maybe lip sync or hook up with better songwriters or even hook up with Don Jazzy….If she likes let her have 18 children…. her clothes have to be the right fabric if she wants to wear figure hugging dresses. and BodyMagic goes a long way…..

    • Online shopping for clothes November 17, 2010 at 7:31 PM

I agree with yvonne on this. Actually , you really dont need to have a terrific voice to be a sucessful artist. But you will need more creativity. I admire omotola’s courage but she would probably need better music and wardrobe consultants.

      • mary willie November 17, 2010 at 9:02 PM

Omotola you are a pride to womanhood. Congratulatios

    • Olivia November 18, 2010 at 3:53 AM

At least she did it! She’s not some sitting behind a laptop criticizng others who dared to dream and follow through by action. She did it! She will not get to 80 and regret the things she wished she’d done and never did. She did it!!
Get off your butt and follow your dreams. Talk, ladies and gents is as cheap as a bottle of cheap gin!

    • ochella November 18, 2010 at 10:11 AM

omotola is sooooooooo beautiful, but i see nothing wrong with criticism if there is truth in it. i have hrd missing you and no comments. My advice OMOSEXY do u really want this??? If you do we will try to encourage you sha afterall even KimK is about to release album.

    • ify November 18, 2010 at 12:29 PM
