“Mirror Boy“, the Nigerian movie written, produced and directed by Obi Emelonye premiered at the Empire Leicester Square Cinema in London on Thursday 24th February 2011.
Stars and industry heavyweights including Genevieve Nnaji, Osita Iheme, Victoria Inyama, Fatima Jabbe and Ex-Sugababes member – Keisha Buchanan, MOBO Awards Founder – Kanya King, DJ Abass, Ayo Shonaiya, Alexander Amosu, and Grace Egbagbe attended the premiere.
It was a great night for Nollywood as the movie sold out the cinema box office days before the event. The Empire Leicester Square was buzzing with fans who were eager to meet the stars and watch the movie. Check out photos from the event.

Mercy JOhnson – seek Gennys advice on skin cos when she started out (SHaron Stone Days) her skin was very bad but with time its glowing. I guess she invest in her skin by using some of her money to go to very good dermatologist (just like she took time to tone her body) – because she knows the industry she is in and serious about her job and her appearance – UNLIKE 99% NOLLYWOODIANS. Every nollywoodian needs to take lessons from Genevieve – Yes i said it – and what?

Erm … in these pics Genny’s makeup did not look as superb as you describe. She looked dull and over done. Nothing like ‘natural glow’ there. Agreed, some actresses (& actors … it’s not only women who ought to look presentable on camera) need to brush up … but not from these particular pics of Genny.

I was at the premiere and it was most wonderful. There was nothing in the film to show it was Fatima’s first movie. Nnaji was wonderful as ever, Iheme did not dissapoint and africa must be proud of this export. Nice pictures, but website loads too slowly – http://www.searchnigeria.com.ng.

Victoria Inyama walked out and stayed “abroad” the point where her career was about to explode, she was in a better place than Genny at that time, same for Amenze Imariagbe, I hope they are able to come back and claim their rightful places unlike most actresses we have now that cannot speak very well,Victoria and Genny were the few at that time.

Dress, coat, hair, make- up, jewelry, carriage all on point. I love that Genny can make anything work. She doesn’t go for the obvious..very safe..already made-to-look beautiful clothes. She chooses clothes with character and for me that says a lot about her confidence and inner strength as a person. She is a risk taker and is daring in the most sophisticated way which i feel is what sets her apart from the rest and makes her a true fashionista. She pulled off black people’s ‘old school glamour’ of the 20s/30s effortlessly. YOU GO GIRL!!!!

Some people really need to believe Genny has bad skin so they can console themselves with the illussion that there is one thing wrong with her. Lmaooooo!!!! Too funny! Sorry to put a dagger through your frail hearts sweeties but the only bad thing about Genny’s skin is the one thing we all suffer from…skin pigmentation. And yes make-up does help conceal that which is why we all wear it. And you guys seem to have forgotten she is a make-up brand ambassador. What better face to use indeed?! She dresses well in gray, black and dull color(aka safe colors). This is probably her first time trying something new and she did good. Yes, I know you must be her number one fan. Gene’s look is super. Some people here no nothing about fashion and they blab on, u can only question her make-up a little here. As for Vic Inyama, she’s been off the scene cos she got married and had to nurse her babies. It’s good to see that she hasn’t changed with child birth, though she’s wearing a plastic smile for whatever reason, she still is it!
