Focus on Re Bahia – Week 4 of Toni Tones’ “Support Nigerian Fashion” Photography Experience
Posted on Wednesday, March 9th, 2011 at 12:42 AMBy BellaNaija.com

The journey is almost over.
The 5 part photographic experience spearheaded by photographer Toni Tones – her campaign to encourage people to patronize Nigerian designers.
This week, the focus is on Re Bahia. On Sunday 13th March 2011, Re Bahia will be showcasing a new collection at the ARISE Magazine Fashion Week in Lagos. For the shoot, Toni rocked a unique look which made its debut at the FAB Night Out. The skirt and bandeau top were made using real dutch wax fabric by Vlisco.

I thought we agreed this chick should not be showcasing these clothes? She wears the clothes and takes her own photography? I don’t get it..shuu!

Looooooooool, bella pple just crack me up!
I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE Re BAHIA!!
Me too

This fab, love the clothes and love how she worked it.
for sure has wow factor! Great stuff!
Impressive
Rebahia hit it with this piece, love it, ancient and modern at the same time.
Keep coming back to look at this…..Loving this Toni Tones girl
Ope oh! Bella, finally the next one, ahn an! kilorde? been waiting for it. Having a hard time choosing my favorite, it is between this and the viva la resistance one. Think this one is winning sha
this i like better
Rebahia has won me over with this
I support the wear Nigerian thingy, but i dont understand why Toni Tones had to model the clothes. This was an opportunity to feature and support up-and-coming models with your photographic skills. You are a photographer, stick to that and stop looking for ways to get cheap fame.
Absolutely stunning, great work from Re’Bahia and Toni Tones. I’m feeling it !!!
These are uber cool, checked out the blog as well, lovely.
In my opinion the top looks like a Maki Oh rip-off (not in a good way). The skirt looks like something my tailor would make. There’s nothing special about this picture except for Toni’s body, hair and jewelry.
“Yes, we all know models can look fabulous in anything, that’s their job. For this 5 week campaign and will be using an everyday woman to display our Nigerian designers’ lavish creations.“
Over the next 5 weeks, we will be taking you through a photographic journey. Starting this week, we will publish images from each of the campaign shoots. Each shoot features pieces from a talented young Nigerian designer, modelled by the muse of the campaign, Toni Tones. Toni Tones Photography flipped the script on their creative director, putting her in front of the camera as the model/muse instead of her established position behind it.”
My COMMENT
First of all Toni you know you are the only one in your company so stop referring to yourself as a superior in your company. This Whole Ad is a publicity stunt .You never link the designers or were to buy the clothes instead promote your blog .
And the designers – i dont get why you are excited about a photographer wearing your clothes on bella naija.Like really. This is not productive for your business , go figure out something that will actually contribute to your brands. She just used you all to promote her business and well herself. She wants to be a celebrity but no talent .Her work hmmm its pretty much a water down Suby and Senim.
The End.
Kpom! you articulated my thots. right under our nose, she is pretty much marketing herself. Now nothing wrong with that, however i just don’t see the talent. Anybody wiht a good camera can take the same quality(even better) photos than she does.
LMAO! you took the words right out of my mouth. There is no promotion of Nigerian fashion in the series. Just her blatant self promotion.
Can not even bring myself to read your essay/epistle, if it was a good comment, relax , pic is nice but not that nice, and if it was a bad comment, then you definitely have beef and are using Bella naija as an avenue to hate, cause it sure doesn’t warrant such long hater mail. either way, get a hobby.
Just saw the blog, and had to subscribe. It is sooooo nice. Good job Toni Tones and good job rebahia too, this is lovely
This is beautiful!
i still dont understand it one bit. lol
I’m telling you! I felt like I was the only one lost until I saw your comment.
P.S: Designers: There isn’t only ONE type of woman in Nigeria. Please understand that.
Toni: God forbid another being take your shine, but please, if you need to Photoshop this much to get this outcome, then PERHAPS a more adequate person would be nice. No?
Toni tones, is one talented photographer…ready to do anything to get the best shots…She’s good …..
God almighty, see beef. She is definitely bringing attantion to the designers…I had no clue who this designer was until I saw this post. Soo, breathhhhhhh and appreciate the design.
I really love this
One hot photographer, looks and talent.
Whaaaat? I’m loving it.
I love the pics, ‘story time’ was for @anoti. *smh*
