ARISE Made in Africa – Spring 2012: Bunmi Koko presents “Allure Of The Sirens”

At the beginning of the ARISE Made in Africa Spring 2012 Collective Show, host Lola Ogunnaike announced that the theme of the collective was “water”. Bunmi Koko‘s collection tied in with that theme as “Allure Of The Sirens” drew inspiration from Greek mythology – the seductive “sirens” who lured sailors with their enchanting music and voices.
The collection was a departure from recent Bunmi Koko collections, this one had an effortless ease to it. The colours were bright – blues and yellows dominated the collection while the choice of chiffon and organza fabrics gave the collection an almost resort like feel. We absolutely love the choice of accessories. The coral necklaces, roped necklaces and belts stayed true to the theme and enhanced this standout collection.
