BN Btyes: Susan Peters’ Emotional Win at the 2011 Nollywood & African Film Critics’ Awards

This weekend, Nollywood shifted base to an unexpected location! Raleigh, North Carolina was the host city for the 2011 Nollywood & African Film Critics’ Awards (NAFCA). Nollywood stars including Susan Peters, Oge Okoye and John Dumelo attended the event and BN will bring you the full scoop from the event soon.
Nigerian actress Susan Peters won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award for her role in Emem Isong’s “Bursting Out”, Susan’s award acceptance speech was a very emotional one as she thanked her fans for all their support and propelling her career to this point. For her big moment, Susan chose a white embellished illusion mini dress paired with tights and gold pumps.

We blacks unlike the whites do not have a brown coloured tights to close up to match our skin colour….If a lighter skinned person wore the tights, ppl wouldn’t have even noticed she wore tights. aww, she looks so happy. Congrats 2 her. she should have gone bare legged sha, but i must say, she looks good and radiant (just needs a change in hair-stylist/hair extension buyer-fixer choice). I really enjoyed her acting in that film, so i’m glad she got good recognition for her work.
Beautiful dress, but why spoil it with the shiny pantyhose? If you need to cover scars on those beautiful legs a nude ptyhs would have done just fine.
The dress was not shabby at all but i didnt like the tights.

She messed up that gorgeous Jovani dress with her horrible tight!!! Gahh Lee! A black tights could have been easier on the eyes, or NO tights at all! The shoes, on point, Can never go wrong in a Jovani dress, but Gahh lee, those tights! Come on sister!!!

Pls u do no wear giovani with underwear, its completely sheer save for the embellishments so if u will fail d “pencil test”, don’t bother. Black women should never ever wear sheer/nude tights, talk less of WHITE GLOSSY tights. Was she tryin to look golden being that she was up for an award? If u’ve been to the western world u would knw its not so cold now, neither will sheer tights protect u from d weather. I don’t know where it is abroad you live, but hey! its almost end of Autumn and its a cold weather ight now, and not everyone can brave the cold by wearing a mini dress such as that! stop been mean speaking. It must not be winter before you can acknowledge that it is cold. If she does not live abroad, it does not matter how often she visits…….she may never get used to Autumn cold, because not even all the people who live here are used to it even the whites themselves!!!!
