Aby Uzamere and Omo Ihenyen got married on the 11th of February 2012 at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Abuja and then celebrated their reception at the ThisDay Dome in Abuja.
How We Met
We met in 2007 in NYSC camp. A mutual friend(Egheosa Inikoro) of ours introduced us. At the point where we met, it didn’t seem like anything was going to happen because we never spoke after the first introduction. After camp, he used to bring Eghe to my house and we’ll all hang out…we became friends, and we moved on from that. We started dating in January 2008 and we’ve been together ever since…we’ve been through a lot of challenges, but we thank God for giving us the ability to stand firm and remain friends.
The Proposal
He proposed to me in March 2009. We went out to dinner and we were just talking about ourselves and all. After dinner, he told me that he loved me, and he went down on his knees (both knees I must say) and he asked me to marry him..it was so beautiful, it brought a tear to my eye….
