Urban-Nigerian Youth publication, Y! Magazine has unveiled details on the inaugural edition of its annual black ball.

The end of the year celebration will take place on Sunday 16th December 2012 at the Crystal Ballroom, Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking on the event, Y! Managing Editor, Adebola Williams said “Y! Magazine has kept its promise as a cultural connoisseur – presenting the best and the finest of Nigerian entertainment, lifestyle and issues. What this event does is celebrate another year for young trendsetters – great wine, fine dining, the best company delivered with the sophistication of the Y! brand. We are grateful to BlackBerry, continuing its tradition of driving connectivity and networking, for presenting this first edition.”

The event will be hosted by MI Abaga and the 3LiveChicks co-presenters, Oreka GodisTosyn Bucknor as well as on-air presenter, Anita Isedeh

Dress code for the event is black with masks – the organizers will present guests with masks at the venue. The black carpet will be covered by the Nigerian fashion police crew, GlamSquad, led by style editor, Latasha Ngwube.

According to a rep for Y!, the full guest list will be unveiled to BellaNaija.com, YNaija.com and 360Nobs.com on Wednesday 12th December 2012 – so be sure to refresh BN to know who will grace the red carpet in their stylish ensembles.

At the event, the re-modeled Y! Magazine will be presented to all – with a first of its kind cover identity as well as content re-energized for its audience. All attendees will receive the first edition of the auto-graphed magazines. The annual Y! Best Dressed list, which will profile 20 young celebrities who define the style and look of a generation, will also be unveiled.

A rep for the event tells BN that the timeless Cinderella fairytale will come alive on the evening. Soulful singer, Praiz, will search for his Cinderella, with the perfect silver shoes in his hand, and the lucky lady will be serenaded with a love song. A beautiful lady will also search for her prince charming  with a royal sapphire ring in her hands.

Guests are advised to dress their best, so as to be chosen as king and queen of the black ball. Winners will take home premium BlackBerry phones while guests will get Christmas gifts.

So, BellaNaijarians, who would you like to see at the ball? Let us know.

For elegance and sophistication I would definitely want to see Genevieve, Agbani, Eku and perhaps Omotola now that she has a stylist. More class, less drag is needed if they are going to pull this off in my opinion.

I would really love to see the golden hearted Monalisa Chinda and Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde there. They both epitomize the true Nigerian spirit with their diverse charitable works.
