You can Now Watch NETFLIX in Nigeria

NETFLIX NIGERIAYou can now Netflix and Chill in Nigeria.

Yes, the American video-on-demand platform has lifted its geographical restrictions, therefore movie and TV fans in Nigeria can access their huge catalogue.
Previously, viewers in Nigeria had to use IP masking sites to access the site but there is no need for that now.

You can sign up with your Nigerian Naira card and get the first month viewing free. However, due to recent CBN policies, your Naira card will not work once billing starts and you may have to switch to a dollar denominated card.

Happy viewing.

    • ATL’s finest January 7, 2016 at 7:52 am

Nigerian movies are on there already but I don’t think it is a lot . there’s Fifty, Lagos Cougar, Finding Mercy, Lies that binds, etc. I just hope they include more at least I won’t have to pay for Iroko TV anymore.

      • Afolabi January 8, 2016 at 12:27 am

  • nnenne January 7, 2016 at 2:12 am

Great but remember to promote your own. ..Iroko Tv, Ibaka TV and the rest.
Iroko TV also shows foreign movies and they’re cheaper.

    • Adebola January 7, 2016 at 7:48 am

Foreign movies from what year? Please i can only recommend iroko for nollywood. Their foreign movies are hardly movies that were box office killers

    • June January 7, 2016 at 12:54 pm

GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR COMMENT! We are too quick to jump and patronize foreign business and not support our own business enough. And we wonder why some foreigners treat us like s***t !!! 2016! – let’s support our own and develop Nigeria!

  • damilare Bakare January 7, 2016 at 2:32 am

  • Elizabeth Ose January 7, 2016 at 6:33 am

Given the internet speed we have to contend with, it would take days to watch one movie…. The super speed internet providers charge a fortune. Welcome development anyway.

    • omo January 8, 2016 at 2:21 pm

use ngcom unlimited data internet service, its super fast. I use it to watch netflix at home, 15K only for a month. you don’t av to worry about exhausting ur data becos it’s unlimited.

  • Dolly January 7, 2016 at 6:45 am

So I finally saw fifty on netflix and all I can think of are those crazy comments/reviews I read. Did we watch same movie or some y’all slow? That movie is interesting n entertaining a fresh and intriguing insight on the lifestyle of some rich & famous in Nigeria, same ones we read one or two rumors about. Good twist at the end (sorry no spoiler), got me awwing oh and I saw October 1 too, good movie but not worth that much hype……anyway off to bed now got work in the morning. (Yes Im alone tonight with wine n popcorn)

    • Yvonne January 7, 2016 at 10:06 am

please how did u find it there?

      • Wow January 7, 2016 at 1:47 pm

You go to the International movies section and browse through the international movies. Alternatively, simply do a search for the movie.

      • Dolly January 7, 2016 at 2:13 pm

Oh Im not Nigeria not sure if it started streaming there but yea u can search for it and it comes up.

    • lola January 7, 2016 at 2:38 pm

I’ve been postponing watching Fifty but I just read on Tuke Morgan’s Blog that she won a TV through the raffle draw.
Me I’m going to the cinema o!
Make I try win ticket to London 🙂

  • Nene January 7, 2016 at 7:47 am

You can pay for your Netflix in Naira through MicoStar Mall. I have been using MicoStar Mall whenever it comes to paying for services or goods with US companies.

  • Marvel January 7, 2016 at 8:05 am

@Elizabeth Ose, please who are the super speed providers? I will gladly pay!! Its BBC 1 & 2 that I would be glad to pay subscription fees for. I have to dumb down constantly and that is across channels terrestial and otherwise.

    • Elizabeth Ose January 7, 2016 at 6:43 pm

Spectranet is really good (by naija standard of cus) it’s 7k for 10MB for a month, there are other packages that are better (faster) and more expensive but I’m talking about the one I have used. I have watched tv shows and movies straight from start to finish using that service, without having to suffer that “annoying wheel of frustration” half way into it. But then your 10MB disappears in like 2 days (only God knows where to) and you are left wondering if it was worth it.

  • Great Lady January 7, 2016 at 9:20 am

I just downloaded Netflix and I didn’t see any Nigerian movie on Netflix. Pls how do I find it? Thanks.

    • ll January 7, 2016 at 9:29 am

if you’re looking for nail movies why don’t you check irokotv cause irokotv has more ninja movies than netflix. you can then watch your foreign movies on netflix….but i mean its up to you!!

    • Yvonne January 7, 2016 at 10:05 am

me too oh, i have been looking for fifty and other naija movies, cant find anyone there. people that have watched please help with directions. thanks

    • UGO January 7, 2016 at 12:03 pm

There are Nigerian Movies. Just started watching Fifty. I am so excited to see it.

  • ll January 7, 2016 at 9:30 am

wouldn’t this be bad business for IROKOTV?
    or is this good competition?

    • UGO January 7, 2016 at 12:06 pm

Competition. IrokoTv needs to step up too. They don’t have Fifty but Netflix already has.

  • ll January 7, 2016 at 9:34 am

asin oh!! and trust naija people naw, they will over do the “Netflix and chill”
i hope people do not by mistake become baby mamas and baby daddies just by Netflix and chilling!!!

  • nikky January 7, 2016 at 10:17 am

So i got my first netflix and chill invite to happen this weekend, at my place. Only thing is that he doesnt have netflix but superfast internet to download movies online fast. (So you get? Na similie!)
This is supposed to be first date o. The guy seems super cool and not the ashewo type. Dark tall and quiet. But biko na, im kinda worried that netflix and chill is gonna be my first date with this dude.
Would have loved to think he is stingy and doesnt want to spend on a real date but i dont attract stingy men (tufiakwa) and he suggested if i dont like the idea of this sort of netflix and chill thing, we could meet some where else. Our convos never involve sex. The dude talks serious and its a real turn on but kai netflix and chill, first date??!

Is this how it is now. Not had a real date in quite a while so i dunno if im rusty or is this how it now happens?
Guys, will like your opinion too o. Wanna know what this guy is thinking. When you ask a girl to chill and do movies, is it just that?

But wait sef, i find this dude like super attractive and i dunno why o. Me no fit too hol body o. but the cookie factory is closed sha since tey tey and not opening soon but making out is allowed na.

But first, what do you guys think? will i seem very easy???

If una yab me ehn, na thunder go fire you!!! LOL

    • Sunshyne January 7, 2016 at 11:08 am

Baby, no guy with all this attribute u mentioned is still single . Especially if this is happening in Lagos: u can take this to the bank. He probably has his babe at home preparing afang.

      • nikky January 7, 2016 at 12:14 pm

LMAO. Chai!! Its true! This dude is too fine and intelligent to be single! Come be pilot again! My dear u have said it all! When all these sharp girls in lagos have not gone extinct!
Let him come and meet me in church!

    • l January 7, 2016 at 11:55 am

aunty nikky if it comes down to netflix and chill and you know you don’t roll like that then tell the guy naw!!! be assertive with your answer!!! most men think women are confused, abi you’re one of the confuse women… lmao!!!!

      • nikky January 7, 2016 at 12:18 pm

Bia Mrs L, mind yasef o. U no see the curse i placed on anyone wey go yab me? I will take the first part of your advice and just give you serious side eye for the 2nd part!
        Sha thank you be be!

aunty nikky sorry oh!! lmao. please don’t give me the side eye mbok! lol!!!
        please enjoy oh!!!

    • Kyjuan January 7, 2016 at 2:29 pm

Nikky…its simple, first date or not…netflix and chill with a guy you admit you’re very attracted to…there is a very high probability ish will go down…ofcourse except he makes no advances whatsoever. Now while there are guys who can and will keep it strictly chilled and easy with no complications….question is how many of them are there?

I’m married now but i can count on one hand how many “netflix and chills” came over to mine or vice versa without some ish going down 😀

      • nikky January 7, 2016 at 3:14 pm

        hohohoho looll!.
issorai. you have spoken words of wisdom and i have heard. thanks guys

  • Great Lady January 7, 2016 at 10:27 am

  • Hmmn January 7, 2016 at 12:30 pm

Hmmn you’re playing with fire, the whole point of Netflix and chill is the guy wants to get into your pants? First date? Haba!! babe this is 2016 there are some questions you shouldn’t be asking.

  • olubodun January 7, 2016 at 1:32 pm

Lol, well you should give it a try, at least you are comfy with the guy’s game, so why not ‘chill’ and see how it goes, you might actually have a good time, and there’ll undoubtedly be other opportunities for regular dated

    • nikky January 7, 2016 at 3:12 pm

kai. see the men talking like men. i will just side step this ya tempting mouth! yes o i like him and im comfy with his game (insert side eye) but it shall not be counted unto me that i was once netflixed and chilled. Mba, my resume will not carry that experience.
      Sha, thank you

  • Junior Agbabs January 7, 2016 at 4:53 pm

Who’s down for Netflix and Chilling?✔

  • JideTheBlogger January 7, 2016 at 7:52 pm

If you can’t find Nigeria movies after searching for them on NetFlix, change your IP. There is also a trick which doesn’t need changing of IP. That’s what I am currently using to watch October 1 etc with my Netflix subscription. Winks**

  • Ezi January 7, 2016 at 9:52 pm

Please o! I will like to register on netflix even if its just to watch fifty in the comfort of my home. How do i go about it with a naira card.

  • Arsene’s Son January 7, 2016 at 11:05 pm

Nikky, you have already made up your mind, don’t come here looking for assertions to your decision. Its your decision and you should make it yourself so that whatever comes of it good or bad you know will be solely on you

  • C’est la vie January 7, 2016 at 11:13 pm

But my question is why is it so expensive?

  • atunbi January 8, 2016 at 6:25 pm

    Netflix and chill hahahhahahahahahah

  • John.Bro78 January 20, 2016 at 5:44 pm

Good news for people that don’t have local Netflix because streaming content online is much more convenient than watching DVDs etc. However, the new regions of Netflix will have a maximum number of 500 unique titles which is very low compared to US Netflix (5000 titles). If you want to get a good value for your money, you can use services like Unotelly and access all regions of Netflix. You get about 1000% more content with a minimum cost.
