Nigerian singer & songwriter, ASA will be performing at indigO2 for the first time on Sunday 5th June 2011. The 28-year old talented artist has made a big name for herself all around the world since breaking into the music scene in 2004.

After her birth in Paris, Asa grew up in Nigeria with the dream of becoming a performing artist. Several years later on returning to Paris as a young adult, she had become more prepared to make her dreams a reality. Asa, meaning ‘Hawk’, has released two albums.: the first, titled ‘ASA’, was released in 2007 and includes hits such as ‘Fire on the Mountain’ and ‘Jailer’. In October 2010, she released her second album ‘Beautiful Imperfection’.

Asa, whose influences include Bob Marley, Lauryn Hill and Aretha Franklin, will be performing her second album, Beautiful Imperfection, singing hits such as ‘Why Can’t We’ and the mega track – ‘Be My Man’. British Jazz urban contemporary saxophonist and composer, Yolanda Brown, will be opening the show!
