Uhm, how can you not tell a JBL piece from all the others? The unique prints and the exquisite embellishments are dead giveaways, lol.

    These models are fine sha.

I need to loose weight and start modelling before I waste all this potential *sips on Coffee and bites into a chocolate cake* I really need to loose weight and turn into skeleton.

    (ignore the bragging undertone)

Anyway, I love JBL so enough said.

Good job..but really if u take away the fabrics, some of pieces we’ve seen before..

    • LindsayLohan

      November 3, 2011 at 7:35 am

Well, you can’t take the fabric away unfortunately SO we haven’t seen it before ( esp. because the prints are her custom designs.)

Actually I hear prints are not designed by jbl at all. They are made by Banke Kuku saw her work at mtnldw exhibition and she is really is a star and a lovely person. So humble and down to earth. If I had that kind of talent na shakara I go dye do!

    • Low

      November 3, 2011 at 10:46 am

Sorry, couldn’t reply ‘Princess’ directly. Banke Kuku doesn’t produce the prints in isolation. JBL gives her their design brief, I imagine, and it’s completely collaborative. Banke Kuku works with Duro Olowu to produce some of his prints as well.

Low it seem you r part of jbl and you r trying to cover up. It’s ok na you no fit do everything. No need to steal someone else’s shine. I am a designer myself I know how this game works! Well done Banke Kuku may god be the light to your path. May your business continue to grow!

Some of the prints are to die for, and her tailoring is superb…but for some reason, I am underwhelmed. I wonder, could it be the expression on some of the models’ faces?

I wonder what JBL is doing about the so-called big designers coping her stuff as she isnt as big as they are,it just makes me angry,as some people will say Nigerians are copy-copy but they are the ones that copies her.
