The Youth Empowerment & ICT Foundation will be holding a five-day workshop on ICT Entrepreneurship for Nigerian Youth. The program tagged “Developing Nigeria’s Next Generation of ICT Entrepreneurs” is being sponsored by the Jim Ovia Foundation in partnership with Google, IBM, Visafone, Microsoft, QT and TLC Solutions.

Date: January 30 – February 3 2012
Time: 9AM – 4PM daily
Venue: The Civic Center, Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, Victoria Island, Lagos

To qualify for participation, participants should be

  • Nigerian Youth
  • Have knowledge of Basic Programming Languages including Java, HTML5, Adobe Flash and MS Office Applications

Participation is free but participants must register via  www.youthempowerment.org.ng

Adeola Adeyemo is a graduate of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from University of Lagos. However, her passion is writing and she worked as a reporter with NEXT Newspaper.     This elearning site is giving out free online courses and I think is the best microsoft training I have seen in my life. Why not get them to provide the free courses to the youths that attend.

    it is a great initiative which should also be held in other states.( lagos is not the only state in nigeria)
