“Memoirs of A Timeless Classic” – View the Debut Collection by Nigerian Menswear label Taryor Gabriels

Memoirs of Timeless Classic Collection by Taryor Gabriels -February 2013-BellaNaija013

Is it me or do the pieces from this collection remind you of ‘Mad Men‘? The debut collection titled “Memoirs of Timeless Classic” features sleek, tailored and great fitting men’s suits, shirts and garments for men. It truly explains why Taryor Gabriels’ designs have come to be a celebrity favourite.

The Taryor Gabriels brand was created by Adeyeye Adetayo. His desire to start his bespoke label was birthed after he worked and trained under accredited designers such as Gbani, one time Creative Assistant to Armani. Over the years Adebayo has tailored his pieces to fit the more sophisticated man with a keen sense for style and clean finishes. His dsigns which include his line of bespoke suits, shirts and garments for men express class without the charades of over embellishment.

Celebrities like P-Square, 2Face, Iyanya, Teju Babyface, Gbenga Adeyinka, AY Makun, J Martins, Julius Agwu and more have all worn the label and have looked all too dapper doing so. At the recently concluded AMVCA awards, the spotlight wasn’t on the nominees alone; personalities like Alex Ekubo, Praiz, OC Ukeje, Noble Igwe and Uti Nwachukwu were all seen rocking their suits from the bespoke line. Take a look at the campaign and the hot male celebs that worked it.

    March 12, 2013 at 1:42 pm

Wow, this guy got a big push from the AMVCAs!

Nice suits. But, as far as the models pictures, some of the backgrounds are too busy; some unnecessary use of props, so I wasn’t able to focus on the suits.

    But good job.

    Great designs, fantastic tailoring.
Lool @ mawa: Until u drew my attention to it, I was pronouncing it Taree-yor. Thot it was some Naija Delta name or something. I do so hate the bastardisation of Yoruba names.

    • Mz Socially Awkward...

      March 12, 2013 at 5:28 pm

Yes, I was pronouncing it just like you and also thought it was a nice take on a Niger Delta name. If my two-cents counted, I’d urge the designer should keep it sounding like “Taree-yor” as that’s a bit more believable than a funky-nized pronouncation of “Tayo”
