The guys at 37thState met up with one of the most creative and dynamic artists of our time. Lemi Ghariokwu is popularly known for the vibrant designs on Fela Anikulapo-Kuti‘s album covers. Lemi’s personality shines through the duration of the video as he narrates his chance meeting with Fela, as well as what inspires his art.

LOVE IT!!!. I’ve been looking exceptional Nigerian arts like this for my personal collection. Kudos to the BellaNaija folks for showcasing contemporary African artist like Lemi. More of this is needed so we can support our own and make our artists a global force to be reckoned with.

Well done to Lemi Ghariokwu for his very special talent.
I still remember his duet with Daniel Wilson…..Omolakeji (Kith and kin) in addition to designing the album sleeve of the album that contained that track.
Thank you to 37th state for celebrating this silent but amazing talent.
