Learn the act of tidying up eye brows, make up, tying head gears at the age of 13-19 is rubbish, what happened to baking, cooking, dancing, acting, etc ?

    • yoyo August 5, 2013 at 12:13 pm

dont mind them. total rubbish. what happened to summer school to improve english, maths, biology etc? as if all the skills we young people need is makeup and music. the naija entertainment and beauty industry need to chilllllllllllllll

Pink Funky are you in This generation at all. Cooking and baking is not a skill as an African/Nigerian girl you Naturally learn how to cook and bake (not professionally) form home even if you are lazy about doing them or your grew up with cooks and house helps . The gele part I really like because I wish I had learnt it instead of spending 500 to tie any time I want to wear trad. Eyebrows are important, you just have to look at the eyebrows of young ladies these days for you to realize there is an sos on this matter

without judging whether these skills are important or not, I can only say you can only give what you have. this is what this company does and that’s what they are offering. another company can offer other lessons

    I don’t think I like the idea

Could you advise if your parent enrolled you in such trash?
At such ages my kids will be learning more than eyebrows, they have all the years ahead of them to do so why now?
No kids at such ages are interested in learning gele, they want to be seen in the latest gadget, clothes, learning instruments, getting them more comfortable with subjects they are weak in etc.
Who in their right minds will make them go to people house you don’t know to go and be tying geles and doing eyebrows with all sort of peodofiles looming around in diffrent forms?

Abi ooo….18-19 yrs olds are ok, naija and desperado for ego

  • ayomipo August 5, 2013 at 2:54 pm

Exactly. I’m a Practising Lawyer/Professional Makeup artist part time but the idea of teenagers learning how to do makeup&tying gele is outta concept for me. Amma 500 shunt be too much 2 tie gele, at least you buy recharge cards. #wink#. I charge 5k for gele only.

Summer school isn’t even that expensive. Some people sha want to make money form parents who don’t have time for their kids.Considering the age range ,they should be involved in more educative programmes like learning how to play musical instruments, learning to mix with other kids etc and not learning skills to make money. We should allow these children enjoy their childhood.
They should have adveryised it for unemployed people, employed people that want to make extra income, housewives, students whose schools are on strike……the list is endless.

Y try too hard to run down a good idea…learning such skill does not necessarrily mean a teen will have to go commercial with the skill. If she learns cake making or anyother, she may not do so for commercial reasons but for personal acquisition purpose, so as gele , beadmaking etc. Read thru d advantages on the handbill for a clearer understanding. Cheers.

this is a really nice idea, at least it will keep them busy instead of staying at home doing nothing of watching TV all day
