BN Video Premiere: Omawumi – Warn Yourself

Omawumi- September 2013 - BellaNaija - 021

You’re going to love this one.

It’s from none other than Omawumi. BellaNaija Music is premiering the spanking new video of the Nigerian chanteuse. It’s called “Warn Yourself”.

The video was shot in Brooklyn, USA as well as in Lagos. With this video, Omawumi attempted a bit of choreography, coordinated by America’s Got Talent choreographer Victor Sho and Nigerian dancer/fitness instructor Kaffy Shafau-Ameh.

The video was directed by Mega. I love the fun easy vibe of the video.

Check it out!

I thought Wizzy was featured in the original of this song?
fine video but most of the dance moved seem too faced paced for the tempo of the song.

am i the only one that thinks all these songs out of naija are having the same swing and sound and beat and feel.. its becoming boring.. where is the creativity?

      September 12, 2013 at 9:15 pm

Yessss oh my sister. You’re not the only one oh. I’m just done with Nigerian Artistes ( most of them) like i’m tired. the creativity has just gone down the drain. They’re just singing about the same thing, with the same up tempo beat thingy. it’s super boring. I love Omawumi, love the song and video. I kinda wished Wizkid was in it though) but she did well.

But Wizkid is the prince of that “monotonous music” thing you mentioned

I get you o. Like Oma please sit down, write something with a tune that doesn’t sound ‘stolen’. I know its hard but try. Your voice is too good for ‘do me do me’ kinda thing. I like this one o but please try some more o nwanem.

I love love the audio of this song. I wish wizkid was in
the video I don’t know why. The video is not working for me. And
why was the audio retouched abi remixed for the video. I though it
was just cracking not knowing that’s the new sound.

Nice video. However, her stylist for this video was not on point. Omawumi didn’t look great most part of the video. And WiZzy’s absence created a void in the video. The video is however cool
