Davido Celebrates Birthday with the Less Privileged - November 2013 - BellaNaija - 044

Davido put smiles on some children faces.

Yesterday the Nigerian music star turned 21. He decided to celebrate his day by giving back to the less privileged.

Davido visited students at the Ikeja Government Primary School, where he presented them with stationery and electronics to aid learning.

He later visited the Heart of Gold Children’s Hospice as well as the Heritage Homes Orphanage. Davido played with some of the children there and gave them lots of food items.

We are told he has a new song coming out soon. Keep refreshing BellaNaija Music for the release.

Check out photos!

Why do these niggaz look as if the were forced to show up? And this big red looks like a knock off version of chris brown’s weed handler, kid red. Why does the yellow friend look so dirty?
Lol. I dey awake too late for yankee mehn, I need to sleep. Good to see naija celebs doing charity, but it doesnt feel genuine. These niggaz are so rich they can feed several orphanages a month and give these children a better future. Yet, its baba olowo we want to sing.

Well done davido… people just sit behind their computer and just type , celebrity or not they work for their money like every other person and owe nobody anything, at least, we all earn our income when last did you give 10 naira to charity, its the same way you would behave when you have 100 that you would when you have 1000.

      November 22, 2013 at 11:50 am

@gbemisola.God bless you for that statement.

my friends and i gather money and goods to give to charity even when we were still in school with our little pocket money from our parents. you should see the faces of the children , its priceless. its painful that someone can give this much, and people cant even say GOOD WORK, OR WELL DONE, they type just to insult. how mean . People should learn to be nice.

To be sincere, show off or not, since they have been showing pictures of celebrities donating to charity, this is the most I have seen. I respect him on this. That was for heritage homes alone, imagine what went to the other 2 places.
    God bless Davido.

Now this is what am talking about. Davido that’s alot of food especially the way the price of rice, beans and vegetable oil has increased in the Nigerian market. God bless you for this. for giving to the less-privilege children. Happy birthday and God bless you.

…..as for @voila, pls just shut up and go back to sleep in your broke ass yankee. which one have you given to charity?. mumu! its God who blesses ,not man.look at your mouth like “it doesn’t feel genuine” and “these niggaz” . Try to be nice.

The stuff he gave out is loaded unlike some celebs who would give some cartons of Indomie, a bag of rice and still open their teeth for the cameras. A thing that non -celebs do codded all the time. May God continue to bless u Davido.

This has to be the best celeb donation to charity I have seen. So different from the usual noodles/tissue. These are the sort of food growing kids need. I want to do something like this in December. Amen!! 🙂

SMH …. Nigerians my people ..this going to orphanages or prisons on birthdays is just too funny and pretentious! So a man goes to an orphanage and donate a token of his millions one time a year and all of a sudden he’s a Savior. This is not an attack on Davidson as I can really careless about him but my general reaction to all similar posts. These poor children are being exploited although in a very subtle manner. Oh Wells…Nigeria my home, it is well. The country should call the land of “trends “…. pleas I welcome all your dumb criticisms….

    Happy birthday November baby mate.

For all ye who typeth, when have ye done charity on your birthdays or children’s birthday?
We should all emulate this, even if na one box of indomie u fit afford, donate, snap yaself(selfie) and post on facebook or bb dp.
These donations go a long wayyyyyyyy to the less priviledged.

You see, 85% of Nigerians are not just happy people. The orientation of this country itself has twisted this poor minds into only seeing when the flash is on. Poor livelihood, education, environmental decay, hunger and dumb association. How will they ever appreciate anything? They’re in the dark. Thank Jesu they even have access to the internet. So guys, don’t blame these blurred minds for saying shit about this young star. Thanks
