Nadia and her fake accent, stop trying sooooo hard to sound un-Ghanaian!!! Geez.
    Terrible actress too!

And what’s with the mixed people galore? Are you people trying to hide something in Ghana?

her fake BriMerican Accent makes my skin crawl. An educated REAL ghanaian speaks like yvonne okoro or yvonne nelson – no faking. She is trying to hard cos in her head She is Ghanas Beyonce. Only illiterates who have never travelled out of their african country will fall for this fake bullshyt.

But can we look past the accent…d storyline looks interesting to me anyway. And about d accent what if d story is not about your typical Ghanian but a mixed race person who didn’t live much in Ghana, then should she not speak like one?

On accents … fake or not, the lady has decided to make it her brand and is quite consistent with it. Plus she’s trying really hard to make something of herself. Good for her. More success to her biko.

Please give our dear Nadia a break. Is she the only actress faking an accent? I can think of several who do so both in Ghana and Nigeria.

But we always call all of them out so why should she be an exception? Also faking the accent is not a problem for me if you can successfully accomplish it, she has not .

her accent has been consistent to me dont know what you guys are talking about.*long hiss!

      November 27, 2013 at 7:21 pm

yes its called consistent faking from Day 1.
She was born and raised in ghana all her life, primary and secondary school in accra. so that accent of hers is LAFA – locally acquired. I know cos i lived in ghana. Her accent is actually like Majid, Yvonne Okoroo etc (like someone mentioned) that is the normal ghanaian accent for those who attended average international primary school (like she did and like most middle class chicks born and raised in accra do) – Anything is else is fake than a 2 dollar bill. If you cannot tell the difference between real and fake then – thats your ears. Like someone said mostly illiterates cannot tell when somone is faking cos in their ears, it sounds like sweet bird singing. Those of us who have travelled and live outside we do know when someone is faking. NADIA IS FAKING.!!!!! If u listen to her well well and depending on the role, eg village role, every now and then the normal ghana one comes out . SHE AND JIM IYKE ARE A PERFECT MATCH, TWO ACCENT FAKERS OF ALL TIME.

whats this about fake accents abi? and y do we have to determine whether it is or it isnt. Fine you dont lke okkkk, but we do and we are quite fine with it. Fake or not. she has made a living on FAKE ACCENTS. She goes to the bank on FAKE ACCENTS. she travels the world on FAKE ACCENTS, propbably to places that you can only dream about. Leave her be. Having an opinion is find but your tone is malicious and not constructive. We should b supporting her because she is doing something she loves nad her fans are supporting her so she must be doing something that is appealing to the public. FAKE ACCENT OR NOT. Geesh, give the girl a break, Abeg!!!

Dunno why nigerians and ghanians spend so much time talking about their accents which are very difficult for the rest of africa to understand well. So if she fakes it then good for us because you should know that your movies are international now and an international audience needs to be considered at all times. By the way the new movies of idris elba he’s also faking is accent because he’s playin nelson mandela.

      February 27, 2014 at 7:30 pm

If my Nigerian or Ghanaian accent is hard for you to understand then open ur ears. This is the same thing i tell my American friends apparently it also applies to Africans like you too, i learned to speak English and understand you, learn to open your ears and understand me as well. My tongue was modified and twisted to say names like Amanda and Shirley so why should you have difficulty in saying Sola or Temi or Oluchi? Besides Idris is faking a SA accent because of a movie, Nadia’s accent is d same here and in her Ghanaian movies. In her earlier movies and interviews her accent can not be mistaken for anything else but Ghanaian.
