I’m sorry but Nigeria needs to STOP WASTING OUR MONEY on these celebrities. For crying out loud, we have bigger fishes to fry like hmm idk maybe OUR ECONOMY!! (which is dire need of a drastic change) so please PLEASE yall need to stop this madness coz these celebs are already millionaires, u just adding more to their acct. It really upsets me when I see how much they spend to get these pple to the country for what, a miserable 2days or so; or in the case Of Kim, ONE DAY! Ok I’m done ranting.

So is it the producer of Music Meets Runway that is going to fix the economy? just asking oh!

    • intheoverseas

      December 20, 2013 at 10:08 am

THIS is an unintelligent remark. We all cry for everyone to do their bit in improving the economy and people’s mindset towards participating in this endeavour so yes, the producers of MMR have a responsibility towards this call. Please tell me how this splurging adds value to the MMR’s outfit, the lives of the audience, the participants or anyone else. It is sad how much misplaced our priorities are….

I have so much to say, yet I can’t say nothing. Nigerians with our inferiority complex. Why choose Angela Simmons to host this show when we have hundreds of Nigerians who would have done a better job? Oh wait, I get it. She’s an American! Smh. The sooner we begin to value ourselves the better for us. It’s a pure waste of money as I don’t see how attaching the name Angela Simmons (who’s claim to fame is daddy’s money) would make more money for the show.

    December 20, 2013 at 10:35 am

Hopefully you all realize other countries also bring in celebrities to host their show and it is not a waste of money, it is a form of PR (Public Relations), if cannot post a nice comment you really do not have to start ranting and complaining every single thing, it is merely entertainment and it is really never that serious.

    December 20, 2013 at 11:10 am

It’s simple, when one is running a show that has a lot future potentials in terms of growth in an industry in Nigeria, it’s only natural for one to want to take on to higher heights, hence making it an Internatinal brand standing uniquely amongst the rest. It has got nothing at all to do with inferiority complex. Creating an international platform for one’s business doesn’t in anyway depict inferiority complex. Pls don’t crop your senses out, appreciate n pray God blesses your hustle too.

What do you mean by bleaching…because everybody in your village is as black as charcoal, does not mean there are no light skinned people in the world. Do you know her mom or her dad…all light skinned. Don’t push your naija mentality on others biko.

    December 20, 2013 at 4:20 pm

My question is how they’ve been able to bring all these celebrities to that country amidst the deplorable condition of MMA. First impression they say last, what kind of impression are they projecting to these celebs about Nigeria. Fix the damn AIRPORT!!

  29. What da?

    December 21, 2013 at 4:00 am

These folks goes to Jamaica, Bahamas and all these islands
all the time. Their Airport is comparable and there is no complaint
here. They just care about having a great quality time and that
should be he jobs of the Promoter and organizers. I don’t see this
as wasting money if these Governors get involved and use this
medium to creat tourist atraction in Lagos to generate revenue. But
did I just use Goverment in something that makes sense? That will
    be a problem.

    @mz mire

I refuse to ignore your stupidity and ignorance. First if all, go read a book about slavery, and how most of the slaves came from Nigeria. Nigerians sold their own people in exchange for guns. Whites snatched Nigerians from their houses. Black Americans don’t like Africans based on ignorance and what they have experienced from Africans like you, who look down upon them for being enslaved, which isn’t their fault. Africans don’t like black Americans either. However, I like how they are visiting Nigeria to see its not the limited stereotypes portrayed on TV . You should be ashamed that she’s wearing braids in the motherland, while African women are in their own countries rocking European hair. You should be ashamed a rich country like Nigeria refuse to develop and use their miney, resources in the right place. You should be ashamed that a country full of academically successful people are not living to their full potentials. You should be ashamed that corruption is the priority, instead of economic, infrastructure, school and healthcare development.
