The Hideaway of Nungwi

The idea of a honeymoon dates back to the 12th Century and how the newly wedded couples were given some time alone with enough mead for a month to ensure fertility and happiness. This tradition has followed us since then and has become a steadfast tradition to begin marital life.

At Africholidays, often referred to as the “Honeymoon Connoisseurs“, they believe emphatically on the importance of the honeymoon to new couples. The stress of the preparation of the wedding itself, the onslaught of well wishers and the craziness all melt away when you enter your idyllic setting and you become faced with the love of your life and this beautiful getaway.

Stemming from the above, they now introduce to you their top 5 Luxury Honeymoon Destinations which they term at Africholidays as ‘hidden treasures’. New resorts are popping up every single day, for 2014 they are super excited to promote certain locations that scream Luxury, Exclusivity & Romance perfect for their 2014 Newly Weds. They had a hard time streamlining the choices to JUST 5, but if they had to choose, these would be their current favorites. Enjoy!

Africholidays will like to begin their little expose by taking you to our neighboring country of Tanzania, situated in the East of Africa. This is the Hideaway of Nungwi, Zanzibar

Hideaway of Nungwi (Zanzibar, Tanzania)
The idyllic setting, the ambience, the ocean front, the sensation that fills your senses… and that’s just at the reception area. It is embedded in a luxurious and enchanting location, and offers spectacular oceanfront settings known to be among the finest in the world. On the north-west coast of the island, Nungwi is considered to be the most beautiful beach of Zanzibar, where the absence of strong tides guarantees the pleasures of swimming and snorkeling in the crystal, jade sea. The dreamy sunsets of Nungwi are an unforgettable experience, where hues of burnt orange and blushing rose drop into the sparkling waves of the Indian Ocean. The rooms! Honestly! We highly recommend that the Tanzanian Government rename this place to Happiness & Joy.

Yes we have clear and blue water in Africa,..well done AfricHolidays,.. there are beautiful spots in Africa,..and as for Tanzania, I will reccomend that you explore Mafia, Bilila Lodge (Serengeti National Park), and more spots around Ngorongoro crator National Park…….Some might not fit under your “top luxury category”, but I am sure they are second best! and affordable for some of us
