Timi Dakolo was this week’s guest on Channels TV‘s Rubbin’ Minds show.

The music star who recently got his wife a home for Valentine’s Day (click here to read), was interviewed by Adebola Williams. Host of the show Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was stuck in Calabar due to flight issues, and couldn’t make it for time of airing.

Timi didn’t elaborate on his precious gift for his wife, but did speak on love, his new single – Iyawo Mi, his children and upcoming album – Love & Consequences.

it means its hers. its written in her name so whatever she wants to do with it she will. sell it or rent it out or whatever, plus i’m sure they live in a house already.

Thank you. I wanted to point that out. It is simply property in Mrs Dakolo’s name. Period. If she wants to lease to a company for guest house … its in her name. Not “My husband’s property” … especially when family comes to roost after tragedy (May God prevent any such tragedies for you in Jesus’ name).

By all means feel free to give your significant other a house.but it does not have to make it to social media.Later they will accuse bloggers of being in their business. All these show of material things by Naija celebs is quite disgusting and it is equally appalling that bloggers insist on bombarding us with such crap!

I love how he referred to his grand mother all through the interview you can tell she really had an impact in making such a beautiful soulful man. Goodluck Timi this is what you were made for (good ole soul music).Been a huge fan since West African Idol and can’t wait to see where life takes you & how history records you.

@1 love Genevieve- I dare say your sense of good music is Warped. LiSten to his latest song-a real patriot . Nigerians are so used to listening to music about sex and bottoms that anything about love for 2nd half and county is now bad music.

Timi is one of the very few musicians in Nigeria who do music right and only people who really understands and loves good music listen to him.

Why are nigerians such show off – must the world know of any newly acqured materialistic bulllshyt bought. Like seriously is that the only time you feel validated as a human being, by telling the world you bought a shoes, a dress, a car, a mobile phone, a house etc. What a pity. Bush – utterly bush. Money miss road. Old money folks who are from wealth never act so bush and so show off.
