Ini Edo, Majid Michel & Blossom Chukwujekwu Show Off Singing Chops in “Knocking on Heaven’s Doors”

Knocking on Heaven's Doors - March 2014 - BellaNaija - 025

Another production to add to our must watch list!

Nollywood actress Ini Edo and Ghanaian actor Majid Michel star in “Knocking on Heaven’s Door“, a new production by Achievas Entertainment and Royal Arts Academy.

In it, the movie superstars flaunt their vocal prowess in a few scenes.

The movie is an emotional story on domestic violence, betrayal, passion, faith and love. Directed by Desmond Elliot, the movie also stars Blossom Chukwujekwu, Adesuwa Etomi, Robert Peters, Lelee Byoma and Evaezi.

It is produced by Emem Isong and Ini Edo.

Debbie (Adesuwa Etomi) is a beautiful singer with a heavenly voice, married to the handsome and charismatic Moses (Blossom Chukwujekwu), she is the envy of many.

Debbie however harbours a dark secret that she tries to keep hidden within the confines of her perfect world; she is being physically and emotionally abused by Moses and the strain of it threatens to break her.

Can she be saved by a knight in shining armour, Tom (Majid Michel) or will she be consumed by the machinations of Brenda (Ini Edo), Moses’ scorned lover who will stop at nothing to see that she extracts her pound of flesh? Set in a church community and woven in the tapestry of music and song.

BellaNaija Movies & TV has behind the scenes photos and a teaser. Check it out!

Emem collaborating with your “FRIENDS” eg Ini, Monalisa, Uche, Desmond etc on business will continue to bring your brand down (as it has already evidently) .

I want the old emem back – in the past few years your work has been extremely disappointing (example is Weekend Getaway) and thats because of the collaborating you are doing (whether its financial or not). When its your own money, your own shorts, your own selective casting and no cutting corners on perfection. Catch ma drift?

    Word to the wise.

Sigh. Why is Majid’s acting style so over the top, unnecessarily intense and manic, like he is on a coke high? I am no longer buying it. And for the love of Banga soup, can he do something about his sinuses?

i dislike his acting and i’m not a fan. it always seems like he’s on drugs. his acting is better suited for theater, maybe.

I think the Nigerian movie industry has matured enough to reel out movies shot in HD; we should be talking about 3-D Nigerian movies and Nigerian movies shot in 4K (UltraHD)

Gosh! Couldn’t roll my eyes enough. First, ini hanging her bag on her knee…wth! Then majids acting is quite awful so dramatic and unnatural. Still rolling my eyes.

      March 21, 2014 at 9:14 pm

And I hope your eyes don’t stuck to the back of your head. Mschew! First of all your comment on Ini Edo and her purse was UN-NECESSARY! Second of all, how does what you have to say help them?? If you’re going to criticize, let it be constructive criticism not rubbish. #byehater

“Majid overacting! Ini’s bag position, Desmond’s tummy…blah blah blah”. When would we learn to criticize constructively. Point to aspects of these people’s craft where they need finetuning. Loved the advice on Emem’s over patronizing collaborations with her friends, though, I must admit its better working with people you know and who share some of your ideas than trying new and untested territories, ATIMES!
