Seyi Shay – “All over the world on tv we see the picture of that evil dog called Shekau head of Boko Haram proclaiming the name of his god :allah and thereby taunting the Living God Jehovah..As Elijah called on the only God of heaven it is time for us as Christians to call upon our God for vengeance. Imagine being the parents, sisters and brothers of those innocent girls. My stomach churns with revulsion when i imagine what those girls are going through.Let us pray!!! -Arise O Lord and scatter that demonic creation called boko haram. O Lord expose their financiers and sponsors within the govt heirachy in Nigeria and uproot them.Give shekau and his men no rest nor sleep O Lord until they surrender those girls.Your word says there is nothing hidden O Lord therefore expose the hideout of this evil gathering so that your children be rescued.Lord protect these girls supernaturally with your love, favour and mercy.Lord give them the spirit of love and let them be bold and fear not.Let your fire locate this evil doers and they be consumed in Jesus name.Lord grant the parents and loved ones of these girls inner strength during this temporary ordeal.Lord all eyes are on you worldwide, show these heathen and abominable dogs worldwide that we indeed serve a living God who answers by fire and cannot fail.Lord we invoke your Word Psalm 91 into lives of each of these innocent girls.U cannot return void O Lord. Father we are sure you will hear us and do for us what we ask for and vindicate your name because You said if two or more of us shall agree as touching anything on earth U will do it. Millions are agreeing O Lord.Thank u father for honouring your Word and terminating this despicable debacle and anniliating this evil vernom called boko haram and its sponsors. To you be all the glory, honour and adoration. #letspraywithfaith”

“The past few weeks has been a very trying time for Nigerians, especially the families of over 200 girls kidnapped in Borno state.

But beyond the sadness and despair we feel about the abduction of these girls, the incident has united Nigeria in an unprecedented way and proved what we can achieve through a united effort. We have all raised our voices against this injustice, sparing no means to express ourselves.

What began as a social media campaign initiated by a few concerned individuals has erupted to a global one with people across the world lending their voice to the cause. You would have to be living in a cave not to have heard of #BringBackOurGirls.

Celebrities, leaders, media personalities, youths and regular citizens across the world have lent their voice to this campaign and through our collective effort, the situation is now getting the media attention it deserves.

It is sad that it took this long to gather this momentum, but, better late than never. The noose is tightening on the abductors of these innocent girls and I am very hopeful that they would be found soon and returned to their homes where they belong.

We all deserve the right to be protected. And we must continue demand for change and value for our lives as Nigerians. Praying for positive feedback and the safety of our girls #BringBackOurGirls!”

Tee Billz – “My prayer is for anyone who is at this very moment struggling with things beyond their own control. My prayer is a cry to the LORD asking for His arms of protection to fall on each one of the girls Whatever their struggle this day, Lord, I pray You will reveal Your purposes in that struggle, and I ask You to comfort and sustain them. In faith we await our girls. #BringBackOurGirls #WeWantOurGirls #GodisAble”

This is so sad, brought tears down my face going down the list and seeing so many people all over the world famous and not famous with this sign. So sad that this is probably how Nigeria will be remembered all over the world for years and years to come. This was the straw that finally broke the camel’s back…so so sad

  12. The truth

    May 9, 2014 at 4:12 pm

I think most people are mistaking nigeria for a country like the usa or great Britain where public opinion and image matter. The fact that most officials in the nigerian state and federal government don’t care and some might have been part of boko haram sponsors. Nigeria has no leader or leaders one can aspire to be like ethically and morally. The fact is Nigeria’s politicians use religion as a crutch for everything. To them politics is about power and looting as much as they can, and believe me i know 1st hand, I happened to have two of those thieving politicians in my family. It is good that for once the world is paying attention to the plight of everyday nigerians, but the fact is all this poster holding aNd hash tagging will not make a difference. Even the us and other countries coming to help wont make heads way, because nigerian government officials who have helped these terrorist in the past, wont want to be discovered perchance they might actually face real jail time in international court. I keep going back in my mind that the state government has a hand in what happened to this children. People are not asking the right question, but following this new craze, why didnt anything happen to the children of the officials and teachers. Those of us who are educated should do some critical and deductive reasoning. I still maintain that this has a political undertone, and maybe at first it started as a minor thing, but now the world is looking. Like chimamanda said, the president should aspire for greatness in history, and amongst his people, and not being weak and just sitting in his office and being useless to the people he serves. Nigeria has no political leader one can ever want to be like in honest, past or present, and that is sad.

APART FROM THE REAL MOTHERS OF THESE KIDS WHERE ARE THE REAL FATHERS OF ALL THESE GIRLS (or where is their FATHER since they are moslem and possibly all 267 of them may have ONE FATHER)

    • The truth

      May 9, 2014 at 9:08 pm

It’s amazing how stupid and ignorant only one person can be. if you don’t know by now, there are also Christians in the north and it isn’t funny to insult someone’s religion. The fact is one God created us all, good or bad, muslim or christian. I still maintain though that these children are not missing or have been found and no one (parents know what is going on) wants to come forth. People should stop trying to make this like #kony2012 craze when people followed blindly. Am glad we can get the world to listen, but that only works if the government works, and if we cannot even get simple electricity for 24hrs, what makes you think Nigeria would have useful people governing it. I remembered before my uncle went into politics all i could hear my mom say was ” there is very good money in politics,” and not even how he can help his people. Lands in many parts of Nigeria are sliding and the environment is decaying yet for more than 30 years nothing has been done. People die on commercial plane crafts and no one is held responsible, and an hour later the same company is allowed to fly again. Welcome to Nigeria, the country that has caused its citizens to cry blood, rather than water;where there are churches every corner, yet the pastors mainly preach wealth, and money hungry cultist and mislead youths who only want to make money fast follow blindly;Where history is swept underground and tribalism rains supreme with corruption;Where 35+ years people still consider themselves as youths and where nepotism and cronyism is the way to make heads way. It is unfortunate that it will take Nigeria more than two generation more to get where it should have been fifty years ago. The center is breaking and our it go better attitude have made it possible for evil and wickedness to be the pastime of those we put in charge of the company called Nigeria. Nigeria needs good trailblazers and change makers and that physically go and start something positive in Nigeria, and not sign holding, craze joining in crowd wanner be people.

This is beginning to look like a trend even though its for a good agenda. but I don’t understand the Nigerian celebs d most , t happened over 3weeks ago, yet they wait for Alicia nd Michelle nd co. to come out before they come out too? had they not heard abt t prior to d campaign? I see it as hypocrisy and a fame seeking agenda. Even as we protest let’s be sincere as well.
