As BN reported, D’banj won the award for “Best Selling African Artiste” at the 2014 World Music Awards held on Tuesday 27th May 2014 at the Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

The Nigerian entertainer took to his Instagram page to speak on the victory – watch it here.

Bangalee performed on the same stage as Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Flo Rida, Ricky Martin and Tinie Tempah.

For the award ceremony, he rocked two different looks by Nigerian menswear label Okunoren Twins from its Doctrine Style Part 1 Collection.

I like is musics though, but lets not forget that the song that brought him this global recognition is Oliver Twist which we all know was well crafted by the DON (JAZZY) himself.. No hit song after oliver twist..
Big ups to Doro Jazzy himself…
    Congrats to Dbanj!!

Like really, some of you don’t av stuff to say!So wot if the song that brought him this recognition is Oliver Twist???Like seriously,so???When they did that song, both of them stated outrightly that that Oliver Twist started as a huge joke, they both had no clue it was gonna ever be that massive.Has Don Jazzy ever produced any song half as big as Oliver Twist up until now?It has become so damn irritating @the noise u all keep making that Don Jazzy produced oliver Twist etc?If they were still together till now,pls ask urselves wld u make such dumb emphasis on giving only Don Jazzy the glory?Don Jazzy produced Oliver Twist the same way he produced tons of other songs D’banj sang in the past. That Oliver Twist became a monster hit shld be attributed to God and God only so pls let it be abeg…

And yet, ”D’banj is finished”… ”D’banj must go back crawling to Jazzy” even though the split was from Jazzy himself! Jazzy on ‘Doro’ kpako level, Ski’ Banj on global level. Level pass level. Respect to Jazzy tho!!! >Lolz
