Folorunsho Alakija & Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala make Forbes Most Powerful Women In the World List
Forbes just released a few minutes ago, its list of the 100 Most Powerful Women in the World. And Africa shines bright.
Nigeria’s Minister for Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the most powerful woman in Nigeria. The 59-year-old is ranked 44 on the list of 100 people.
The other Nigerian on the list is 63-year-old oil mogul Folorunsho Alakija who is listed at 96.
Taking the number one slot is Angela Merkel of Germany. Michelle Obama is number 8, Queen Elizabeth at 35.
From Africa, Joyce Banda of Malawi is at 40, while Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia is ranked 70.
