“We are Here to Declare War on Boko Haram” – President Biya

Paul Biya Bella Naija

President of Cameroon, Paul Biya, has declared war on Boko Haram. Chadian president, Idriss Deby is supporting this declaration saying it will be “total war.”

These proclamations were made at a regional security summit held in Paris on Saturday. Discussions were held pertaining to coordination and intensification of efforts to curtail the terrorist activities of Boko Haram in Nigeria and neighbouring countries.

The people who attended the summit include President of France, Francois Hollande, Nigeria’s Goodluck Jonathan, President Paul Biya of Cameroon, and their counterparts from Chad, Benin, and Niger, Punch reports.

Hollande, who hosted the summit, revealed that  participants had agreed on a global and regional action plan which includes “co-ordinating intelligence, sharing information… border surveillance, a military presence notably around Lake Chad and the capacity to intervene in case of danger.”

And some Nigerians (El Rufai) who should know better went on twitter tagging GEJ coward for cancelling his trip to Chibok, some say there wasn’t any meeting in France. Today we live in a digital and social media era where a hashtag can change a lot of things or a mere rant can mar us. In as much as GEJ had being soft and slow in tackling the BH issue we must support him now he’s no longer slumbering.

Even if some of us may not vote him come 2015, at this dark hour of the nation he is still our President. This BH issue is not a child’s play ooooo. Defeating these monsters really need wisdom from the President especially when our Military has been seen globally as unwilling and compromised, and the enemies of the State perceived as powerful. Support and pray.
