6 Dead from Ghastly Motor Accident on Lagos-Ibadan Express Way

Earlier today Friday 27th June 2014, a ghastly motor accident occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, that led to the death of at least 6 people.

According to a Channels TV reporter present at the scene, the accident was reportedly caused by a collision between a moving truck and a faulty truck, parked on the expressway.Vehicles involved in the accident were seriously damaged.

An eye witness says, one of the vehicles involved was a “mini-truck carrying labour hands to a building site”. A female survivor rushed to a hospital near 7up, and then to the Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos for further treatment.

Authorities have been called to ensure the road worthiness of vehicles to avoid such occurrences.
