NLC Demands Probe of Nigeria’s Security Agencies

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), is calling on President Goodluck Jonathan to conduct thorough investigations into the activities of all security operatives, especially the military, in the North-eastern part of the country.
NLC called for the probe due to the degenerating security situation in the region despite huge human and financial resources allocated to fight the Boko Haram insurgency, Vanguard reports.
In a statement, Abdulwaheed Omar, president of NLC, urged the National Assembly to investigate how the N130 billion Nigeria allocated for security is being spent.
