i dont understand why it is news when celebrities visit the orphanage or do any humanitarian action…. I still don’t get it…someone explain to me…cos it doesn’t make them look charitable by posting pictures up….Do it out of the goodness of your heart and not for the praise of people.

      August 8, 2014 at 6:27 pm

Ask them o…..even the bible says that when your right hand gives your left hand should not know what your right hand is doing – Mathew 6:3. There are people that are quietly building schools, hospitals giving out scholarships but are not shouting from the rooftops our “celebs” with some indomie and rice only on their birthdays by the way are front page news mscheww

    • Lol, indomie & rice. But more importantly, what/who are these girls?

    • Tuu

      August 8, 2014 at 6:57 pm

If celebrities can post pictures of themselves in a club or in skimpily clad outfits on their birthdays, there’s nothing wrong with posting pics of them helping people, ease off abeg,Its not that serious, look at it like they are posting pics of how they spent their day, they did extremely well, let God be the judge of what their intentions was, He alone sees the heart.

      August 8, 2014 at 6:45 pm

bless you for thinking the exact same thing! it baffles me that charity work is something that celebrities only do during their birthdays as a way to justify themselves to the public. it should be a normalized thing that they should do out of the goodness of their heart more often than once a year and they should leave thepublicity stunt at home.

      August 8, 2014 at 8:08 pm

It is good because in naija, charity/volunteer work in not the norm……….So pics like this brings awareness to these centers in need. It also gives pple the idea to celebrate with those in need. Get it now?

      August 9, 2014 at 6:47 am

Thank you! Even if they happen to be big enough celebrities to garner attention and press i can understand a handful of pics 3-5 but no reason for this photo shoot infomercial. It is also clearly sponsored by indomie who may have even donated some of the stuff. Charity should be done in private unless youre trying to gget additional support for the charity. This is clearlu self promotion using the plight of the less fortumate. At least they thought to help out I guess

It’s just to encourage pple to do same..i used to think like u.. but my hubby explained it to me..if pple openly show love to d less privileged, it encourages others to do same.

Well done girls and may God continue to bless you girls….!!!

I will answer for my self I am part of a few charitable organisations I give both in time and financially but I have never for one day posted photos of me giving or put up status updates of how I am financially helping organisation ABC or certain individuals on social media.

Well Done Ladies!!! For those asking why? Well like Tuu so eloquently put, why not? If we can handle daily dose of photo shoots promoting nothing, Toke with her fake everything spitting garbage, Dementia’s weekly rant to defend her self hate and promote whitenatious, Mercy Johnson’s daily self righteous photos of a perfect life with her husband who happens to have no job, no education and married with children, and many others. Then we can definitely make some room for these two ladies who for the most part keep to themselves and don’t seek attention every day.
Those wheel chairs and walkers are not cheap and will be of great help to those people. So I say BRAVO TO THE ANEKE TWINS.

You make some good points but this is still shameless self promotion although there is a benefit for others rathen than just yourself

      August 9, 2014 at 8:30 am

The only reasonable thing you stated in this silly comment of yours is commending their good work……as for the rest very irrelevant and uncalled for.

This can be tagged as a publicity stunt or otherwise, depending on which way you look at it. However, if we have more of these gestures Nigeria will definitely be a better place. Like someone rightly stated previously, loads of our celebrities post pictures of themselves online partying, wining and dining. Same way, the Aneke twins posted pictures of how they spent their day. If anything at all, we should applaud them for a day very well spent rather than passing criticisms.

They did good, especially with the equipment to give people mobility, I appreciate any situation that gives someone their independence back. Enough with the Indomie though, it is an empty food, it does nothing for the body, there must be more nutritious food that can be offered. Instead of the Indomie why not give dried or canned beans, beans are chock full of nutrition and have a long shelf life. What use is offering food to the poor if it is of no nutritional value?

  21. Me

    August 9, 2014 at 12:25 am

Correct! Looking at all the stuff u ll see they were really out to give not some other celebrities that take two cartons of indomie to motherless babies home and start taking pictures everywhere.

    August 9, 2014 at 1:42 am

I same tears looking at this pics. A lot of people will want to do other things for their birthday, but instead this beautiful twins gave not only their money, but also their time. As they have make the poor happy, may d good lord reach every area of their lives where they are lacking. IJN Amen

  23. Chindu

    August 9, 2014 at 3:45 am

Wow! I am so impressed o! Aneke twins for president! But seriously tho, these girls couldve easily used this money to buy themselves some LB shoes and chanel bags to flaunt and feel among with on IG, rather they used it so selflessly….especially seeing that they dont make as much as some of their counterparts on IG flaunting and flossing daily. This is highly commendable biko, and rouses people up to give back! Kudo girls!

  24. Muna

    August 9, 2014 at 3:58 am

This is just a simple note to express my profound gratitude for d enormous love, care amd support u both showed to the widows and less priviledged. Thank u so much my lovely twinnies. May God almighty bless ur kind heart(s). Smiles will never leave ur faces for putting smiles on the faces of others. More grease to ur elbows!
    I love you both.

    August 9, 2014 at 8:15 am

I am deeply impressed by their self righteousness and impeccable act, God bless you. But truth be told, there are people out there who are not celebrities that give to the needy and there others who volunteer to take care of them I.e clean them, cook etc. They don’t come out to pull publicity stunt. I do not have anything against you beautiful ladies, but pls let the work which God has used you to do be glorified by God. This message is also to other celebrities as well.

May God bless these girls abundantly. Pple shaa can be so jealous, or is envious rather. Instead of commending on the right things done, you are criticizing because they are not flaunting LB shoes and chanel bags like smbody rightly stated. I suggest u do yours, snap and post online, if u are newsworthy, pple will gladly commend.
