      I wonder o. @ Labisi thank u.
Is it not the bride’s family that funds weddings costs in Yoruba tradition? Groom’s family do next to nothing.
Sid and Simi osomo’s wedding cost much more as I have almost first hand information. In fact it cost close to 100m, believe it or not.
people self, which one concern u to be calculating another person’s marriage.
I dont know why this Sid is trying to give people the wrong impression that its like him who spent all the money, whether he is laughing or not.
The girl’s family is richer than Sid self

      Olabisi, ode aye ni e
How do you know her parent did?
even if the parent did, whenever a guy shoulders it, who hears or complains?
if one of the parents is privileged and shoulders it, what is wrong in that?

I’m not certain what part of his tweet implies HE paid for the wedding… He simply laughed and said you have no idea… That could mean anything.
. It could mean you have no idea, the wedding didn’t cost me a dime, or we spent way less than 10m or we spent way more than 100m… Like you just don’t know for certain.

I’ve often wondered how ppl just sit and imagine and spit up the worst of other people. Damn… Life must be really sad for some sha…

And please, just by the way, WHY is this news?? Ok, so I got married last year and my wedding cost at least N47m (when I lost count) WHOOO CARESSS????

    August 12, 2014 at 12:20 am

But yoruba pple no be the bride’s family dey pay for wedding? Why are you crying?

I’m guessing Simi’s parents buy all his designer clothes, buy all his flight tickets and accommodation, pay for him siblings expenses also. Psssssssst.

Oooh who gives a flying f***. We have become a society of useless money worshippers, and fail to disclose what really happens behind closed doors. My car is bigger than yours, my house is bigger, my wallet is bigger, my watch is more expensive, I fly first class.Tales of the nouveau Riche! real wealthy people have class, and don’t waste their time on such nonsense. They make meaningful investments, and look for productive ways to contribute to society. $25million on a wedding is not something to be admired, from an investment standpoint it’s absolutely ridiculous. His records aren’t going to sell forever, there are a million younger, brighter, better musicians waiting for the opportunity to replace him. Idiot!

    • Idomagirl

      August 12, 2014 at 5:38 am

Why are you so angry though? He didn’t start the rumour or go around telling everyone how much it cost. You sound like you have some personal issues with him

    • Idomagirl

      August 12, 2014 at 5:41 am

And if you weren’t in such a hurry to attack you would have noticed that the post said N25million not $25million.

  22. Ngo

    August 12, 2014 at 4:18 am

    August 12, 2014 at 9:57 am

Money well spent! Who cares who sponsored the wedding – they couldn’t care less what you think!!!!!!!

    August 12, 2014 at 10:35 am

Nigerians and busy body hian! If he spent a billion Naira we would be the first to say he is unreasonable, a liar, foolish stupid etc. If he had a destination wedding we would still rain abuses that what is he feeling like and that is it not Nigerians that buy his albums? bla bla bla. Please let’s live and let live biko, relax wish others good cause you gain nothing by mocking people. It’s true we have freedom of speech but must we blab uncontrollable? i don’t think we would live longer by talking or is there an award for the most outspoken person?

The sad truth is that most of us raining abuses on people can only do it cause you appear anonymous, when placed side by side with the people we so easily condemn we won’t mind licking their shoes… why?

Lmaooo don’t mind me jare…I am just tired of seeing blogs celebrating people’s purchases. We have a lot more to worry about in the country. People with real money like Dangote, Alakija, and Aluko are doing amazing things for the country, and yet we insist on celebrating stupid meaningless things like this. Why not show me when Dr Sid donates $50 million to an orphanage, or when Davido builds a hospital for a small village with no access to healthcare? or Dbanj’s new project which has the potential to provide 1000+ jobs, these are things I want to celebrate, not Freeze’s watch, or Dr Sid’s supposed wedding expense. Then again, this is a lifestyle blog, so my bad for venting on here.

This is absolutely none of our business but me being me and being African, I just had to say:
1.Congrats Simi and Sid. Quite possibly, the best celebrity wedding I’ve seen in naija #fact. P.S: You two make a fab couple
2.That said, Dr Sid, you really should not have responded.Just class not to discuss costs or be party to any discussion regarding cost. It was a fabulous wedding and thats that. Did Simi respond to the article? Im glad you admitted she has upgraded you. She has class: learn from her.
    3. And I agree that Sid sounded like HE paid for it but lets be honest; Simi’s parents probably sponsored everything. If Dr Sid had N25 million to throw away, wouldnt he put it towards his mortgage? #NoHate #Ijustdeyobserveoo
That said, I wish you guys the very best and God bless you guys #justmyopinion #Okbye
