No offense, but I don’t get how this chick is famous. Granted she comes from a wealthy background, but what exactly has she contributed to the nigerian music industry that gives her the status which she embraces. I believe in appreciating everyone’s honest hustle, especially women who are trying to be self made, but chale, babes when you come get status where person fit think your autograph is special? I might just be out of sync with naija music scene, but again I don’t think she has reached this status yet, she needs to establish herself more.

i million likes to this comment. for crying out loud, this privileged kid is just that – a rich kid, n not a celeb to me. ppl like davido or naeto c n other rich kids who have contributed significantly to the industry n made a name for themselves beyond their fathers affluence are who i can qualify as celebs but her no. i think she has a lot of self esteem tho to be putting herself on such a self acclaimed celeb status. goodluck to her.

Is she signing autograph for winning the Emmy’s or a Grammy, or for becoming the best DJ Nigerians have ever produced? Just curiously asking.
But in her case, her family have brought along fame and recognition for her
In the U.S especially the Dallas area, every Nigerian with a turntable and couple of Naija CD’s is a DJ. Some don’t even know how to switch in between songs. Went to a Nigerian party in Garland ; Texas where a Dj after eating a full bowl of jollof rice and got so drunk, he passed out on the dance floor. Some just wait till one music finishes completely before finding another CD.
Dj’ing is an art and it requires talent. Even watched a competition where Dj’s competed against each other

Glad to see a young “wealthy” lady actually doing something other than showing up at every party every weekend. She has the option to do nothing other than travel to exotic locales and shop for as long as she wants.. She has actually found a passion that has nothing to do with the usual clothes or makeup. I applaud her for following her dreams no matter how mediocre it might seem to some of us. I’ve never heard her dj but I am impressed by her drive.

She is back in Nigeria already? Wasnt she in NYC to start her grad school at NYU?. Listen girlfriend, NYU doesnt play, if you dont attend classes you will fluck and kicked out of school GPA of 3.50 is required to stay in grad school or else NYU will kick u out and report u out of status. American immigration will send you packing unless u are born in USA or have a US resident permit. Focus on getting your Masters and stop wasting time giving out freebees!!

Good to see someone giving back. It’s the thought that counts some might think she is not famous enough to sign autograph but she is doing well for herself especially been a woman in such a male dominated industry and country. Good on you Cuppy.

why do people have to say something negative all the time. Stop feeding negative energy into the world. The truth is she can actually DJ, I’ve heard her play and it’s quite technical. She knows what she is doing.

I don’t think it’s about wanting to be negative. The problem with Dj Cuppy’s publicity strategy, is just making her look like a rich spoilt girl, who has enough money to buy airtime, media space, celebrity friends and throw parties in the name of album launch. My honest advice, focus more on churning out good beats for yourself, upcoming artists and even established artists. Send in your song and video samples, instead of launch party pictures. Even if you aren’t deejaying for the money, let us grow to appreciate the actual work you are putting in. We, at least I was pleasantly pleased when the whole Dj Cuppy thing started. But it’s becoming boring because we are not seeing your music enough. All the best‎

Free CD, free joli, and autograph too, Oshey. Meanwhile, make Otedola show up spray us with moni, I no run o.

This is making her look so desperate for attention and publicity. After a while its getting boring. Its like i want to be seen. you dont need that dear. Be more strategic and sorted after… Thats my piece of advise…

After a while your publicity gets very cheap. if its not well managed. It makes people look like they are hungry for free CDs and cupcakes

You people can hate sha. She is doing good for herself. Its good she has her rich father which is a plus. There are so many rich girls that are so dump that all they think is ‘working’ for their daddies but she decided to follow her passion. And besides she has done well for her self by even going to grad school.. And FYI anybody can sign an autograph, you don’t have to be a celeb. Trust me,if I had a rich father,I would follow my passion without struggling. Mind you people didn’t know she was Otedola’s daughter until recently and she has DJing since she was 17.

It’s nice to know she’s doing good for herself. I like her, she looks like a hard worker! If her dad worked hard to become super rich, who says she can’t as well.
