Africa’s most popular weekday soap, Tinsel, is making a major change to its cast. One of the key characters on the series, Angela Dede – played by Matilda Obaseki-Mozia – will be temporarily replaced by Nigerian actress, Theresa Edem. The change takes effect immediately.
This change comes as Matilda embarks on maternity leave to rejoin the series early next year. Matilda is currently expecting her second child. Her first child, a son, recently turned two.
Theresa Edem holds a degree in Animal Science and Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and a Certification In Acting from the Royal Arts Academy in Lagos. She has a background in television, film and theatre and has featured in a number of movies including Lonely Hearts, After the Proposal, The Antique, Take Back your Throne and Obio Iban.
Viewers should tune in to Tinsel on weekdays at 20:30 CAT on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151) to catch all the drama, intrigue, romance, deception and betrayal that the series brings to their screens.
