William Pooley, the 29-year-old health worker who was the first Briton to contract Ebola in Sierra Leone, has returned to the country as he promised he would.

Pooley told BBC that he returned to Sierra Leone because he felt there was a great emergency in the country, and felt an urgent need to help out.

He will resume work today – Monday, at the isolation unit at Connaught Hospital in Freetown, Sierra Leone, where he will train staff and set up new isolation units.

Can you please shut it and get educated? An Ebola survivor is immune to the disease.

You are part of the reason why there is so much evil and wickedness in the world. Even if he wasn’t immune to the disease. The fact that he decided to go back and help shows that he cares for humanity. How can you say such a wicked thing. Do you know how many people still need help in Sierra Leone? This is the time to applaud such a courageous man and not to sit behind whatever device you are privileged to use spewing rubbish
