Aww…Prince Harry Tries His Hand at Cooking, Baking & More during a Charity Visit to Lesotho, South Africa

Published

 on

Prince-Harry-Lesotho-South-Africa-December-2014-BellaNaija021Prince Harry visited Lesotho, South Africa, recently for his Sentebale charity projects and his trip was documented.

Travelling with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, with whom he co-founded the charity in 2006, the prince visited a number of Sentebale’s community partners, among them the Thuso Centre for children with disabilities, where he took part in a cooking lesson.

There were several lovely moments documented during his visit like Prince Harry playing with a three-year-old orphan girl Karabo, learning sign language, his attempts at baking and cooking as well as moments when he had kids in smiles.

Check on it!

why must the white man come and rescue us blacks. we blacks need to start helping ourselves.

at the end of the day, the white man will take the glory and he would be called the hero because he rescued hungry suffering black people

When Jehovah created the human race, he never sectionalize it, humans (you and me) created RACES and decided to see the different colors and all the unnecessary that comes with that. yet Jehovah only sees the GOOD in us, so why not try to see the GOOD that harry is doing and just maybe that will motivate you to at least write positive and encouraging comments.
Controversy can be: and sometimes needed but not all the TIME!

You know Bruno children are very perceptive at sensing fakery and danger, so no amount of staging could have put those smiles on their faces. He could have sat in his palace in Vegas fooping or snorting away or simply chatting rubbish online. However he left the comfort of his surroundings to face the uncomfortable reality of suffering, poverty and disability. When last did you reach so far out to help the dispossessed to make them feel equal or even better than you? Comments and judgements are cheap and easy. Actions of true love and compassion are not!

And why must we have that thots of the past in our mind ? And who are the blacks that u see that goes to these children to help them ? Even if they say that have a charity in the name of money NONI “money for them to chop, buy cars, and have a stage wedding for their children whom definately have been battered with money tele!! All they do is donate indomine Pali and pure water satchet to them . This is what William and Harry grew up with . Incase u don’t know what their mother use to do . She is mostly into charities and not for anything but the love of it . So taking glory or no taking glory . How many of our blacks lay the legacy for their kids . Except buying cars for musicians in their names and Dubai spending .

why are nigerians so slow at thinking, must I have to break my comment down so u will understand it. I didn’t say what prince harry is doing is bad, all im saying is, must the white people come and feed us starving blacks. why cant we start helping our selves. why cant bkack peiple in america cime to africa and help other blacks. that’s all

Bruno Nigerians understand your cynicism very clearly. Can’t wait to hear about your humanitarian and charitable acts apart from your acts of attrition in the blogosphere. Secondly, I’ve never seen you attest to being wrong and as humans we are surely all fallible. You’d make a great politician and yes in your beloved Nigeria with your deftness at backtracking and condescension!

I seldom agree with Bruno but on this occasion I can not but concur. Why, why the rescue mission. For how long will it continue?. I am not against Harry’s humanitarian acts. Bless him, he looks so cute. But when will it be a case of we are doing well and okay and he’s just come down for a fun day. That’ll still put a smile on the faces of the kids wouldn’t it. ehn? Coming from England with arid soil that supports potato among a few crops to a blessed land where our soil germinates plantation from your discarded tomato water. And you want me to be excited over their charity visit? No am not.

Honestly (and I know this wasn’t the focus of this post) but his hotness factor just skyrocketed from 100 to 1,000,000. That first photo of him kissing the baby… kai! Setting ovaries twitching all across England. 🙂

Oya, hormones aside, Harry seems like a lad with a big heart and I agree with whoever said Diana instilled the importance of giving back in her boys. Seeing him do this just reminded me of his mum… 🙁

@Bruno so funny u can’t see anything noble in what he did. Instead of this self-pity why not set up a charity in Nigeria, starting from ur village and stop whining. Always blaming the white race for African problem is pathetic. We are our own worst enemies.

famine, white man will save u

poverty and diseases, white man will save u.

@ks ur commment makes no sense at all. and some of you don’t understand anything, because he is attacking @bruno u will agree with the person.

if u like keep waiting on the white man to rescue u.

ebola, white man will rescue u

hiv/aids white man will rescue u

hunger and famine, white man will rescue you

malaria and diseases, white man will rescue u.

poverty, whute man will rescue you.

thru out history the white man has been rescuing the black man, why? why cant we blacks help ourselves

if a white celeb wants to revamp his or her imagine all he has to do is, come to africa and feed hungry suffering children and he will be called a hero and humanitarian

I know this is for a good cause and all but I swear I am tired of all these White ppl with their saviour mentality coming to Africa in the name of charity and posing for pictures with our kids just to make themselves look and feel good, I am so over their b***s***
    #AfricaUnite

    • Iris

      December 19, 2014 at 11:11 am

LOL you can hashtag from now till tomorrow waiting for Africa to unite to fix the continent. Nigeria hasn’t even managed to unite. While Africa is still trying to unite how many people are you willing to sacrifice to malnutrition and social injustice? It sucks I agree, but I don’t think he’s being “fake”. I don’t get the patronizing vibe from this that you get from that useless”Does Africa know it’s christmas?” song for instance.
Meanwhile I suppose everybody is passionate about different things, but his cause makes more sense to me than his brother’s bid to save wildlife in Africa. People are hungry and you tell them not to hunt to conserve species. Meanwhile in those same areas people (predominantly white) own huge areas for “hunting legally” just for entertainment.

  31. great

    December 19, 2014 at 10:51 am

Harry looks so much like his mum. Harry and William are so well grounded. In many ways they deserve all the love they get from the public. I don’t know if its the manner in which they reach out show so much compassion, humility, a more modern approach to royalty , or the legacy late Diana left behind behind which they have embraced so well. Well done boys ……

  32. helloo

    December 19, 2014 at 11:57 am

Lets be clear on one thing, he is not just a white man, he is Prince Harry. He could have been in a million and one places but chose to be there. Black helping white, White helping black it reallydoesnt matter. Show appreciation and give commendations were necessary.. His kind act def requires both.

    December 19, 2014 at 12:41 pm

@Iris it’s not just a hashtag but a personal prayer of mine, you may not believe it but Africa will definitely unite, it may not be in our generation but it will surely come to pass, after all The Great Britain itself was once divided.
@Helloo I don’t care if Prince Harry descended from the family of St. Peter they are all the same hun.

He’s a red head. Quite different.

helloo December 19, 2014 at 11:57 am – thank you. He could well be in his apartment in Kensington Palace while a member of his domestic staff squeezes his toothpaste onto his toothbrush.

      Commendable.

This is noble. Notice how he didn’t show up in Armani suit and Salvatore Ferragamo loafers faking to love the kids? This is what real charity looks like…note to our fake NAija celebs and their indomie, drawing pencil and caprisun juice box

    December 20, 2014 at 1:54 am

I’m with Bruno on this one!!
Harry’s action are classified as ‘White Saviour Complex”
Makes them feel they are ‘saving” us
Ever watched any of these films: Amistad, The blind side, Cooling Runnings, Dances with wolves, Django Unchained, Finding Forrester??? Summary is white man saves the ethnic minority underdog!!
    My 2 cents.
