In my opinion,Buhari should attend, in his opening statement he should make an apology to Nigerians for his military regime something along the lines of him being a patriot, but in his patriotism he acted like most of us have dreamed of doing by seeking to fix Nigeria’s problem by force. He’d then come on to say that AGE has given him a new perspective on things and that he is fully committed to the democratic process, the reconciliation of North and South, Muslim and Christian. That he looks forward to working WITH Nigerians towards building a greater Nation for generations present and to come.
Hoping somebody high-up in APC reads this, I personally am voting for whoever impresses me in the debate.

I can bet you the debate is meant to ridicule Buhari. The panel is not independent. they were the same set of people that organised a news casting event (cos i wont call that debate featuring only jonathan a debate) in 2011. Even the blind can see it is a set up. Jonathan that resisted all requests for Presidential debate in 2011 is suddenly clamouring for 1. And we all know Jonathan and PDP is not exactly playing fair in this election process.

Havent you seen the campaign strategy of PDP. The worst i have seen ever. They even changed the song “Babe o pullover” to “Buhari pullover”, I almost died of laughter. I mean, seriously?!!!

They even attacked Buhari’s wife in that AIT advert. they claimed he doesnt bring his wife out during election. And i am wondering, wouldnt it have been better if he had kept Patience on a short leash rather than this disgraced she has brought to the Presidency and the office of the First lady

My dear if you have watched any political debate you will notice that all the candidates are asked the same questions and given time to answer. So i really don’t know what Buhari is afraid of or where the victimization will come in. AIT is not the one organizing the debate it’s BON and NEDG. The documentary you talk about was not sponsored by AIT, a group paid for the time slot and it was aired that’s the reality in business.

Wow! that documentary was something else i watched it and it really brought things into perspective, he has been thoroughly unmasked.. God bless the group that sponsored it!!!!

My take is, if Buhari claims he is a different Nigerian that can only make things work, why the fear? If he is clean, why fear? If he knows he’s certain that he can turn things around, why run from the debate? It is all about being able to deliver even amidst great opposition. So now, they want to tow GEJ’s line. Then nothing makes him different from GEJ, since they now prefer to follow his footsteps.

    To each their own.
I personally think the debate gives candidates the opportunity to sway undecided voters.
I guess he has a right to refuse.
