Before nko? Una don chop belleful na. I’m pretty sure that those whose homes have been ravaged by the BH insurgency will disagree as their priority is not to watch local movies.

These Nollywood folks really need to go sit their butts down somewhere, like I’ve always said no one cares who you cast your votes for. But here’s my question for GEJ nollywood campaign team, if the present administration has done such a fantastic job they wouldn’t need a team of actors & actress PR machine highlighting the admins so called achievements because it would speak volumes for itself and the average Nigerian would know and have benefited.
It’s okay nollywood actors and actress, we understand that man must wack so carry on but here’s a little reminder, we’re aren’t buying whatever it is that you’re selling.

the only good thing about this (in my humble opinion) is the quality of the production. Top notch ! – but the quality of what was said – absolutely dire. All I got is the “care-ability” of the incumbent CiC, I have heard no facts of any kind of how he incumbents leadership has factually bettered the common man in the street (education, security, health, education, employment) – neither have I heard of any plans/proposals. The entertainment industry (again in my humble opinion) has thrived IN-SPITE of the the Nigerian governance through the sheer hustle and hard work of those involved and certainly not BECAUSE of the efforts on ANY Nigerian government. Not faulting the “care-ability” of the incumbent CiC (as I have no idea of how or what it is) – but that’s means jack sh*t (excuse my french !)

    • Tosin

      February 3, 2015 at 3:04 pm

Incumbent’s leadership has been solidly anti-poverty o! (Do you live in Naija?)
I’d be voting for him to return.

Dear Rita, Segun, Omoni, Ramsey, Monalisa & Sani SHAME ON YOU!!!!! For the mere fact that sooooo many innocent lives have been lost in this administration, for the mere fact that my brothers, sons, sisters & daughters have been taken, mutilated, abused, raped & destroyed in this administration, for the mere fact that thousands of my brethren were trampled & killed because they needed a job in this administration, and that more lives have been lost in such a short span of time than previous decades combined, I would not expect any sane public figure & an artiste in particular that has a bit of say in influencing people’s decisions to come out so blatantly & support this administration and even have the NERVE to ask people to vote for its return! You are entitled to your right to vote & of course you have your reasons to want to vote for them (however financially motivated they are) but I will just say one thing particularly to those parents amongst u… If it had been YOUR daughter Monalisa that was taken & hasn’t returned after 300 days, or YOUR son Sani that was slaughtered like an animal because he went to school, would YOU still support this administration’s return? Its easy to say “it can never be me” because you’re detached from the reality but remember that God is a just God… You may feel u are detached from it all today, but remember that things are only getting worse… The fact that deep down Goodluck Jonathan may be a good man is something I might believe, but his administration & his handling of issues concerning citizens’ sacred lives – WRONG WRONG WRONG… I rest my case!!

    • Author Unknown

      February 3, 2015 at 4:15 pm

Indeed everyone has a choice in this matter. What I think people question is the motive behind that choice. If it’s for some personal benefit, then they should rightly so be judged.

    • Peaches77

The only person I feel for here is Ramsey Nouah because I see him as Nigeria actor who might break the barrier to attain the height not only among the Africans because of the positive energy he possessed , you’ve made your impact on Nigerians before Jonathan even became Deputy Governor now you’ve given all that to Jona. The GDP rebase was done last year. may be I missed something here. What difference has the $200m he promised has had on Nollywood, He gave you feel good effect and took away your glory. Now it’s government that made Nollywood what it is today thanks to these Jecks.
$200m would bring a renaissance in film and movie industries, create employment for millions of Nigeria but all I see these days everybody going for cinematography courses in New York to become film director. wen everybody dey direct who go de act now.

Okay, this is ridiculous. These guys had just one job! This was a planned and recorded 3 mins video not a live interview and they couldn’t even articulate and break down exactly what GEJ has done to earn their support. Look at Ramsey stammering “but I, I, I think, I think” (1.09) and he actually said we should look out for what he has done! Look out!!! like you can’t tell me because even you have no idea!

Segun Arinze also said for the first time, the creative industry is part of the GDP, does he even know what GDP is? 3 minutes with Nollywood practitioners, I would have loved to see a breakdown of that 3bn Naira, who are the beneficiaries? The actors, producers, directors who have benefited from that fund and the outcome. Thankfully, that industry’s output is tangible, who trained where? who produced what? what structure was built? Nothing!

Imagine what Nollywood will be with good electricity, low interest rates, low inflation rates, security. You don’t even need any Governor or President to dash you theoretical money.

I have a question for Buhari supporters and it is not rhetorical. How is he planning to implement the things he will do? What are his strategies? He doesn’t talk about those. Promises are not new to Nigeria. Even the military had promises. The way I see it both candidates suck, but Buhari has the added horror of being a military dictator and as far as I’m concerned that kind of thinking cannot change – especially when you have shown no remorse for your past deeds. I know the incumbent hasn’t talked about anything tangible either, mind you. I’m just trying to understand if this is a campaign specifically for Buhari or a campaign for anyone who isn’t GEJ.

I could insult these people and ask what Jonathan has done for them, or ask them how many of them have accessed the N50B he promised, or if the film village has been built. I could ask them why it’s so easy for them to keep silent over hundreds of missing girls and thousands of dead Nigerians, yet open their made up faces to tell us to vote for the man who let that happen. I could insult the man that let it happen, yet shamelessly campaigns amid tight security without mentioning those girls and all the institutions that he has worked to undermine. I could point to the facts that 1) he has let Tompolo and Asari Dokubo and his airhead wife threaten this country with war because of his spinelessness; 2) Doyin Okupe, Reno Omokri and Fani-Kayode the excuses for human beings are his spokespeople 3) he continues to let his team take the blame for his poor leadership when the buck really should stop at his table…period. I could also go on to ask how many brown envelopes he gave each of them each time he had a ‘meeting’ with them, and how the lot of them are desperate for attention including Monalisa and Segun.

But I won’t do that. I’ll simply say that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan does not have my vote, and no subpar, aging entertainer can make me feel otherwise.. D’banj couldn’t do it then, these ones won’t do it now.

Don’t mind the useless stooges. i am in the film industry as well and i can tell you none of these lots helps any upcoming artist. most of them only help people they know and not just because one merits it. they have made their money, how have they given back to the people. GEJ has given the money to share and they are waggling their mouth. i watched the pdp campaign and saw how Oboni was shouting like a tout and blabbling. Woman no be by force abeg….after she has showed off her breast to the weakling. Greedy lots. I am really disappointed in Ramsey he seem like a sensible person but now….Smh….. That frog eyes has always been a greedy monster. Nonsense

  27. Let's be real

    February 3, 2015 at 4:44 pm

Most of the comments and attacks against Jonathan exude such myopic views.
He’s not the best president Nigeria could have, but he’s the better option for now.
That’s the underlying factor in these 2015 elections.
They vowed to make this country ungovernable for him and they try so hard day and night and still look at all the accomplishments.
A country hardly fights a war and experiences growth at the same time because of the demand on resources, but we keep wanting to eat our cake and still meet it intact.
The Nollywood actors may be whatever you feel like calling them, but you cannot discredit the facts put forth.
For years the Benin-Ore road was an apology, travelers kept crying out, now it’s in its best state ever and no one mentions that. No-one denied the benefit of a rail system which came to reality in this administration. What really happened before now?
The power sector has seen its best reform and transformation yet, and if you decide to think critically, you will realize the benefits would not just spring up in such a large country and after it being bastardized for decades. But yes, the perfect foundation has been laid in the power sector and in a couple of years we will feel the benefits.
Unfortunately, if Jonathan does not win 2015 elections, someone else will take the glory.
Let us grow pass this myopic analysis, pass the mob we’re so used to, always screaming and insulting like you proffered solutions. If you’re civil enough, you should have gotten your PVC by now, with plans to vote next Saturday.
Your voice must be heard doesn’t translate to you barking. Go and vote

We WILL vote but not for Goodluck honey, quite frankly a part of me even wants him to win so that I’ll see if these desperate pleas and promises of his bear any fruit. Sadly a larger part of me is afraid that the North and eventually Nigeria will be completely obliterated by a bunch of sponsored psychopaths who may end up causing total destruction, and who knws maybe this time it will take months, not weeks before he says a word, so I cannot take that chance. I want my fellow Nigerians to LIVE so I want to see what a different governmetn can do for my country. I respect your opinion but your points aren’t very valid, none of the improvements u mentioned make much sense to the average struggling Nigeria who is unemployed, poor and afraid for his/her life. Important thing is for us to make our voices heard, so yes let’s vote! May the best man for the job WiN!

More of silence towards the plight of the people, more of ignorance, more of corruption… Oh sorry, stealing (since they are not the same), essentially more of nothing that will move this country forward.

Voting for GEJ just sends the message that bad governance is rewarded in this country. People please understand that nothing ventured, nothing gained! GMB may just positively shock this country and take us towards real change, but we will never know what could have been if we don’t give him a chance. Jonathan and his ppl have stolen all the money they can and secured their future well-being, so win or lose, they are covered. What is not secured is our own well-being, the people. He came, he saw, he failed. Let’s stop kidding ourselves and give someone else a chance

Learn a lesson from what history is doing to GMB.
Am sure he didn’t do all the things he is accused of by himself.

I think GEJ has tried his best… The bitter truth all of us refuse to see is that he has actually done a couple of things of which I think if Buhari has sat there before him won’t have done….especially with the bill for freedom of information and nominating women to fill prominent positions… If Buhari had been there before him… I tell u with so much confidence that those two won’t have happened..but things have gotten out of hands…especially with our security..the issue of book haram is really threatening n bothering on our economy…
So my point is… Its not like he hasn’t worked.. Trust me,he has n everything they have said is true.. But we have a crucial and urgent problem at hand to deal with n I don’t think our president is firm enough to handle it… He is a good person n he has really tried for us especially us women… But I think we should try another person…in this casr ,Buhari… He has a military background and maybe…just maybe is what we need to put a stop to this security mayhem which has put Nigeria in a not so good place..
If after 4 years nothing has changed,if someone else contests n we think he’d be able to do the job,we vote buhari out n vote the person in…
We R The People and its our choice as to who would lead us… So let’s vote and not fight n stop raining unnecessary abuses cos unknowing to us…we r encouraging #Fight..
Let me end with this… We all here shouting…writing what we like…people voicing out their hearts and all… Do y’all think that if it was in Baba’s time or times past u guys woulda had the guts?? Talk now so u will misplace alongside ur family…lol….NIGERIANS!!!
Pls come FEB 14th,let’s vote and not fight..
    Thank u!

Lol study Omoni Oboli’s facial expressions, she obviously does not believe half of what she is saying. Monalisa just looks like she does in the movies, acting. Infact they all did well with their script and ‘remaining in character’ (except Oboli). Silly sycophants.

the problem with we the Nigerian youth is the fact that we don’t read history. you all are clamoring for change, Buhari as the messiah but have you taken time to go through how he betrayed Nigerians in 1985, or how he stood for Niger against Nigeria? Haba by now we should be wiser than manifestos and promises, President Goodluck might not have done 100 percent well but with all the critics all over I am sure that he will try his possible best to do those things he wasn’t able to do if only all these politicians can come together and work in unity. Johnatan government failed because his opposers had vowed to make his tenor ungovernable, haba if there is anybody desperate to be in power is Buhari. and book haram is still disturbing our peace because they have sponsors here in Nigeria, and you cant blame presido 100 percent for that. you said power is suffering but y all know its a gradual process atleast its better than before. Nigerian should try and be careful with decisions they make. however, one man cannever safe Nigeria, if Nigerians don’t unite and love stop exhibiting selfish desires. I also have a question for Buhari supporters, all these years that he has been clamouring for power, can Gen Buhari state things he has done for Nigeria, like humanitarian service on his own, or must you be a president before you make impact? talking about corruption how did he come into power the first time? why did he lie about his certificate initially? please please Nigerians. the devil you know is better than the angel you don’t know.
