Patience Jonathan: “God Has Brought Down the Messiah… Goodluck is the Messiah”

Published

 on

Patience Jonathan

First Lady Patience Goodluck Jonathan, was at the PDP women’s presidential rally in Ilorin, Kwara State yesterday.

While addressing the crowd, she stated that President Goodluck Jonathan is the Messiah, and that Nigerian women should vote for him Punch reports.

“Nigerian women, if they (APC) come, tell them that your mother said you should not listen to them. They have nothing to offer. They have nothing to give you, Nigerian women; because the battle has already been conquered, God has opened the way for us. God has brought down the messiah for us. And PDP is the messiah. Goodluck is the messiah,” she said.

She further stated:

“PDP is not shaken; as far as we are there, there is no need for trouble. You know that Mama Peace, your mother, is peace-loving, so the children must also be peace-loving. Women are peace makers and no woman that makes trouble is worth to be called a woman.

Before I went to Edo State, the APC was there, all to make trouble. I have always been telling them that they like to make trouble. I wanted to go to Edo, they were there. Why? To make trouble. I wanted to come to Kwara, they were there. Why? To make trouble. As I was coming today at the airport, they were also coming so that there would be trouble but I told my security people that I am a mother of peace, so let them go in peace. We, wives of political leaders should not make trouble, so even if they come to you to make trouble, don’t fall for their tricks…

Kwara is PDP. They only stole the mandate because the Government House they are occupying today is in the name of PDP. We shall take it over. Everyday they change from one name to another and very soon they will change to Ebola and then death will come. My God that I serve has told me that they will fail. So don’t be deceived, don’t listen to their lies.

There is office for wife of President but they were saying there is none. But soon they brought one ‘Hajia’ as wife of the President and she is now saying, ‘don’t worry, my husband made a mistake, we shall make provisions as necessary.’ Don’t believe what they are saying, hold to what you have because it is better than what you are yet to see.”

In addition, Mama Peace is said to have likened APC to an “expired and adulterated drug” and urged the Nigerians not to vote for the party, saying it could lead to their death.

FFK. This one is not properly educated (both academically and in the art of proper reasoning) and can at least be put in a butterfly net. FFK could probably break out when he’s on one of his highs.

I’ve just chosen to call it “election fever”, at this point in time. That has to be only explanation for all the unbelievable foolishness that my eyes have read coming out of both camps, these last couple of weeks. And I’m frankly amazed that any campaign manager in PDP is still allowing this woman to run amok without containment… Why??? Do they purposely intend to lose?? Even half-literate elementary school children wouldn’t feel good about making statements like these in public.

Between her mindless expulsions on the one side and others like Rochas/Amaechi just nattering a similar brand of nonsense on the other side, as well as all the other campaign shenanigans along the way… these elections have turned into some kind of retarded joke. I mean, are we supposed to be taking any one of them or their parties, seriously at this point? What a mess… and our future lies in either of these camps. Father Lord.

    • ify

      March 18, 2015 at 10:04 pm

Simple English? Sorry dear, the last time I checked, English wasn’t our first language.

    • Blessmyheart

      March 19, 2015 at 12:28 am

We really need to stop with this English is not our first language thing. English is our lingua franca which means we have accepted it as our national language and this doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate our heritage, it would have been difficult to pick an indigenous language as national language because of the peculiarities of this nation. Anyone presumed to be educated and in public eye has jo excuse for inability to communicate well in English. Mrs Jonathan is said to be educated and has been the wife of a publuc figure for over 10 years now. She gas absolutely no excuse for being so inarticulate. English is really not that difficult and she travels often. No excuse at all

    • S

      March 19, 2015 at 4:26 am

Actually i’m tired of people making statements like this. Let us call a spade, a spade. English is our lingua franca. It is our official language, our language of education and if I might add, the only language a lot of Nigerians speak. Colonialism by the British really happened so she has no excuse. lot of Nigerian first ladies (even at state level) were not very fluent or polished when they got into power, so they went to finishing school. She has NO excuse for being so crass and being an illeterate because she claims she went to school. If it is someone who came from the village and didn’t get any education after primary school, we can excuse them but as a first lady, she should act the part. She has had years to develop herself and she refused to, why do we then think she will care about developing people? Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown so she should expect all this backlash and take it with grace. We don’t see Michelle going about disgracing herself.

Can someone give her a reality show already? Let’s call it “Patience is a virtue?!”

  14. Tee

    March 18, 2015 at 12:46 pm

She might be a disgrace to many but I bet she has more confidence than many of the stilleto heeled, fitted suit wearing and Queens English speaking women out there. She garners so much support from a mammoth crowd of women daily, she communicates with them and they understand. In as much as her command of English is poor, she has done what many women will not do; strong belief in and unrivalled support for her husband.

    • Nahum

      March 18, 2015 at 3:14 pm

Actually when it comes to unrivaled support for husbands, I know so many women that do just that. Just because she loves and supports her husband does not make her a messiah, it should not be a criteria for voting for someone. Love and support is something that comes naturally in marriage, especially when it comes with unlimited power and access to unbridled wealth, in her case. Which woman will not lovingly support her husband as President? So, don’t put her on a pedestal for doing what a wife ought to do anyway.

Goodluck the messiah…………wow!……certainly a messiah does not have to wait for all these miracles to be performed in just 6 weeks. The 6 weeks postponement was not meant to curb boko haram at all…………. Instead it was meant to:

Sign off over 9billion for OPC and Niger delta militants to secure pipeline
To do massive rallies and give out money
To visit all the obas and give huge sums of money to them
To bring back Koro as a minister
To sack Sure P chairman and chairman of FIRS and get replacements immediately
To allow Mama Peace go on endless rants and occupy our thoughts and mind day and night
To allow massive campaigns and rallies all through the 36 states
To enable the presidency cajole INEC to disregard the use of the card reader

I hope now they are prepared and they wont be a further postponement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! messiah ko messiah ni!!!

As far as I am concern, the President’s wife lacks integrity. Is it the Ebola virus that has killed many innocent people she is using to refer to APC. How I wish you perish and die with the Ebola virus.

@ Ada nnewi were are wrong biko. Kpo okwu aha.

Patience Jonathan is same as FKK,Fashola,Lai Mohammed,Amechi,Oyegun,Fayose and simply so.

So don’t single out PDP talkers.

  22. AaaFeeCee

    March 18, 2015 at 2:44 pm

No don’t say simple English! Good communication does not mean being good at speaking English.

Or do you want us to set exams for your mothers and Patience Jonathan????

Patience can speak better than some peoples mum who come here to insult her daily.

    • anonymous

      March 18, 2015 at 5:54 pm

don’t judge everyone by your mother’s standard, because she can’t speak English language fluently does not mean most of our mothers can’t. My mum and most of her friends are well educated, even they are over 70. No excuse for being crude. I don’t think Patience can ever change, no finishing school in this world can refine her. She is simply crude and razz and to think that she was a teacher before her husband was elected baffles me

    • anonymous

      March 18, 2015 at 5:56 pm

      Even though

    • Mz Socially Awkward....

      March 18, 2015 at 11:55 pm

I get pissed the heck off by this rubbish argument. Patience was said to have been a lecturer at some institution or the other. A LECTURER. Would you allow your children to be taught by a woman who speaks like this? The woman sounds illiterate and, yet, we hear that she used to be a former educator.

Now, if you see nothing wrong with her communication then maybe I can understand why you would imagine the average Nigerian mother in their 50s, 60s, 70s or even 80s is unable to express herself in the English Language at all. It then becomes clear to me that Patience’s standard is what you’re used to and, therefore, trying to convince you of her apparent failings will just be pointless .

And that being said, please feel free to insult the mothers you personally know of (since you seem to think so lowly of them) but kindly refrain from bringing everyone else’s mothers down to the same level.

[Note to BN – please delete below replication, if you wouldn’t mind. I was so mad, I hit “post” without realising that I wasn’t in the reply thread]

trust me, I speak good English more than this self acclaimed Mama Peace. from my own understanding and the last time I checked Dictionary, to bring (brought) down simply means “to cause the downfall of rulers” or “to cut down on” or “make reduction in somethings”
therefore, all I can say is to say a big Amen! to what she has said. truly, her Messiah shall be brought down come march 28, 2015.

Sigh… This woman and her blunders again.

All I can say is… Must you speak English?! If communicating in English is so difficult for you, why not speak in your native language and get someone to interprete it? It is perfectly allowed… After all some Heads of States do that at some world meetings.

That’s a better option than hurting yourself and the rest of us as well.

Was my initial comment/reply to Nike’s foolish comment on display above, the first ever on your website harping on stupidity? I will type my response again to Nike’s comment and if your goal is to make your bias so damn obvious then by all means, moderate away.

To Nike “Stupid is as stupid writes, and that Nike is what you are.” what the heck does your sentence mean? You write as though the entire Igbo nation has an agenda. Is GEJ igbo? mchewww.
Take issues with the man, but do not bring in the Igbo tribe here.

@naijatalk Your comment not being approved has nothing to do with tribe. We believe you can make your point without calling someone “stupid”. Abusive language is hurtful and can be considered cyber bullying. We appreciate each and every comment, however, it is possible for you to disagree or even debate with someone without insulting them.
