infinix Hotnote launched

Within the last two weeks, the Nigerian public have been in a frenzy trying to guess #JIMsBigThing! The only thing that was evident was that whatever Jumia, Infinix and MTN had up their sleeves undoubtedly had to be grand. To everyone’s delight, #JIMsBigThing was revealed on Monday, 9 March 2015 as the spectacular Infinix Hot Note and immediately, it became the fastest selling pre-order in Jumia’s history.

The Infinix Hot Note is the latest and greatest innovative addition to the Infinix family. For starters, it is powered by a 4000 mAh battery and a uniquely developed charger, that allows 3 times faster-than-normal charging and can last up to 2 days. Yes, wow indeed!

We want to give Nigerians a chance to enjoy a revolutionary smartphone that is tailored to suit their needs. The Infinix Hot Note is a superior alternative to 5.5 inch smartphone and will provide users with a better experience through innovative fast-charge design”, noted Infinix Mobility Co-founder Benjamin Jiang.

Is this phone the hottest buy in the market right now? All evidence seems to prove so! The Infinix Hot Note is already the fastest selling pre-order on Jumia. With the wide array of products Jumia introduces to the market every month, we know this is no mean feat! In fact, the gold color variation of the device sold out in less than 24 hours. Not to worry, Jumia does not disappoint and will restock in no time!

The company however, urges that customers place their orders today- Wednesday 11 March, because the waiting list for the Hot Note, which actually launches on the 18 March is already gargantuan.

This phone is special on every dimension. The Infinix Hot Note boasts a cutting edge design, unique and stylish colours, a huge 5.5 inch HD display which generates gorgeous High Definition (1280 x 720 pixels) images, and is equipped with several multimedia and connectivity features. It also runs on the latest Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system, providing users with enhanced sharing, syncing and visual features. Tech gurus will be pleased to hear that it is powered by 1.4 GHz mediate Octacore processor, which allows it to run smoothly and optimally.

In addition, the phone has an internal memory of 16GB giving you plenty storage space for your photos and files. The 8MP main camera has an advanced image sensor, allowing you to capture HD video at 30 frames per second (FPS). There is also a 2MP front camera with support for 75% wide angle shooting for easy selfies with friends and family. People who are burdened with carrying 2 phones will also be delighted to know that the Hot Note x551 device supports dual 2G/3G SIMs.

Jonathan Doerr (MD Marketing Jumia Nigeria), was quite thrilled when he revealed: “If the early days are anything to go by then the Infinix Hot Note is primed to reach record breaking sales. It really isn’t difficult to see why. If there ever was anything synonymous to ‘great value for money’ it definitely is the Infinix Hot Note. Customers need to have their fingers on the pulse on March 18th. We have limited stock and very high demand.”

4.4.2 is not the latest android, rather its 5.0.1 lollipop

In my opinion, andriod operating systems (Jelly Bean or KitKat or Lollypop) normally play very little role compared to factors like, HD displays on screen/cameras. The most important plus here is a huge battery life per cyclic charge. I ordered this phone because of the potential prolonged battery installed on the phone. All inventions without extended battery life on a cell phone to enjoy them is absolutely useless. My concern on battery charging at 3amps is that extreme fast charging at such rate tend to drop battery health with time. I would rather charge at normal pace which holds no penalty judging from my knowledge of battery design. In a more realistic fashion, going by the 4000mAh battery capacity, it should stay far beyond the 48hrs tag unless the processor and the graphic controllers on the phone are extremely power-hungry. In all, this should be very interesting!

Infinix Hot Note is one of a kind. The 4000mah battery is impressive and the octacore processor is great. but you may not like the 1GB RAm and the LCD display.
